Objective By observing the clinical treatment effectiveness and safety of Siwu Shixiao Decoction Jiuzhuan Nuangong acupuncture in treating patients with cold coagulation and blood stasis primary dysmenorrhea, which providing scientific basis for clinical treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Methods According to the random number table method, sixty patients with cold coagulation and blood stasis Primary dysmenorrhea who accord with diagnostic criteria were divided into group A and group B.Group A,as the treatment group, group B as the control group.30 cases in each group.Siwu Shixiao Decoction Jiuzhuan nuangong acupuncture, and western medicine Fenbid(ibuprofen sustained-release capsules)for treatment separately. After 3 months of treatment, mainly observed changes in pain intensity(VAS)scores, symptoms of dysmenorrhea scores, and quantification scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptoms of dysmenorrhea between the two groups after the treatment.Results(1)There are no statistically significant differences(P>0.05)in the ages, course of disease, dysmenorrhea symptom score, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score, and pain intensity(VAS)score between the two groups of patients, which are comparable.(2)Comparison of the curative effect between the two groups:(1)Comparison of the scores of dysmenorrhea before and after treatment in the two groups, which was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group was superior than the control group.(2)Comparison of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores between the two groups of patients before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes.(3)Comparison of pain intensity(VAS)scoresbetween the two groups of patients before and after treatment, which shows the differences was statistically significant(P < 0.05).(4)Comparison of comprehensive efficacy of dysmenorrhea after treatment:the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.3%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 80%.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01),indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(5)The comparison of the comprehensive efficacy of TCM syndromes after treatment showed that the total effective rate in the treatment group was 93.3% and that in the control group was 76.7%.The difference in the total effective rate of TCM syndromes between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.01),indicating that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving TCM syndromes.Conclusions(1)Siwu Shixiao Decoction Jiuzhuan nuangong acupuncture has a better clinical effects in treating primary dysmenorrhea of cold coagulation and blood stasis, which is superior to western medicine Fenbid.(2)Siwu Shixiao Decoction Jiuzhuan nuangong acupuncture can effectively alleviate the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea in patients with primary dysmenorrhea of cold coagulation blood stasis, improving traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes and relieving the intensity of dysmenorrhea.(3)Siwu Shixiao decoction jiuzhuan nuangong acupuncture proves to be a safe and effective way in clinical application without obvious adverse reactions and side effects.(4)For treating cold coagulation and blood stasis of primary dysmenorrhea,Siwu Shixiao decoction jiuzhuan nuangong acupuncture, which has achieved certain clinical effects, and deserves further research and promotion.
