The Research Of The Central Military Medical School(1902-1949)

In ancient China,the Army doctor didn't become an independent profession,more not form a special military medical personnel training institutions,until the modern western medicine was introduced into China,and gradually got domestic recognition the missionaries by the western preachers.And because of the need for training new army,the military medical was an indispensable part in modern military medical system were introduced,and gradually get attention,military medical and military medical education was starting.Founded in the late Qing dynasty,the central military medical school was originally named as the Beiyang Military Medical School.It was founded by Yuan Shikai to serve for Beiyang army.In its early days,Beiyang Military Medical School imitated military medical schools in Europe and Japan,gradually established a series of rules and regulations for enrollment,courses,examinations and graduation,and trained the first batch of military medical students in China.In 1906,the Beiyang Military Medical School was taken over by the Qing government and renamed as The Army Military Medical School,but all the rules and regulations remained the same.During the period of the Beiyang government,the Central Military Medical School was greatly adjusted by the government.It was not only renamed as the Army Military Medical School,but also moved to Beijing.The school's management system and education mode were adjusted,and students were divided into general subjects,undergraduate courses and research subjects for different levels of training.However,due to the warlord infighting during the Beiyang government,frequent wars spread to the school,which led to the school facing problems such as insufficient funds,staff leaving,and student recruitment,the development of the school was stagnation.In the decade of Nanjing National Government,after the unification of the country,the Nanjing National Government began to attach importance to military medical education,so the Army Military Medical School was accepted,and Military Medical Department,Military Medical Design Supervision Committee,Military Medical Department and other institutions were successively established to take charge of the development of military medical career,and to manage and build military medical schools.The school was moved from Peiping to Nanjing.The teaching mode was divided into cadet class teaching and student class teaching,and a large number of courses were added.The name of the school was officially changed to The Central Military Medical School in 1936.After the national Anti-Japanese War broke out,The Central Army Medical School was forced to move to the home of Anshun county,in Guizhou province for avoiding the war,and got more attention from the government,the school is not only to strengthen the construction of the organization,set up a branch,perfect the administrative institutions,optimization of subsidiary,also strengthen the construction of teachers and the scientific research team,all aspects of the school has obtained the unprecedented development of military medical education career present a thriving scene.After the victory of Anti-Japanese War,The Central Army Medical School moved to Shanghai,and the Army Medical Service Health Training,Shanghai land,sea and air Force General Hospital and Doctor Training Organs merge together for the National Defense Medical College,the implementation of a comprehensive military medical education,set up eight class level and six education system,military medical education scale expansion,and had formed the system of military medical education center.But after the defeat of the nationalist government,the Central Military Medical School came to an end.The Central Army Medical School is the only one who across the whole of China's modern,and it's also the highest institution of higher learning in the military medical education.The Central Army Medical School had trained a large number of military medical personnel for China,the establishment of the modern military medical education system in China has accumulated valuable experience,and focus on the study of medical(especially military medicine),in response to the domestic epidemic prevention and control play an important role.During the period of the Anti-Japanese War,the central military medical school still adhered to its mission and made great contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
