Objective : Evaluate the role of mobile APP in chronic asthma management, and formulate effective strategies for chronic asthma management to improve the control rate of asthma. Methods:A total of 84 patients with non-acute asthma in the general hospital of the northern war zone were collected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method: 42 patients in the online group and 42 patients in the offline group. The online group was managed online by "asthma manager" on the basis of traditional asthma management, while the offline group was managed online by the traditional asthma management mode. Before the management of patients in the two groups,at 3and 6 months of management, the effects of smartphone apps in chronic management of asthma were evaluated using five aspects: asthma self-regulation behavior grade,ACT grade, lung function index,on-schedule medication rate and medical resource utilization.Results:(1)there were no obvious divergence in gender, age, duration of disease, education degree,Severity of illness, work situation, smoking history,self-regulation behavior grade,ACT score and FEV1% predicted value between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)After 3 months of management: the self-regulation behavior grade and on-schedule medication rate of patients in the online group were obviously better than those in the offline group(P<0.05).There was no obvious divergence between the two groups in ACT grade,FEV1% predicted value and medical resource use(P>0.05).(3)after 6 months of management, the self-regulation behavior grade,ACT score, predicted value of FEV1%and on-schedule medication rate of patients in the online group were obviously better than those in the offline group(P< 0.05).There was no obvious divergence in the use of medical resources between the two groups(P> 0.05).(4)after 6 months of management, the self-regulation behavior grade,ACT score and the predicted value of FEV1% of the patients in the online group were obviously enhanced compared with those before management(P<0.017).Conclusions:With the help of new media technology based on smart phone application,it can enhance the self-regulation ability of asthma patients, optimize the level of asthma control, improve their lung function and pharmacy compliance, and provide an effectualchronic management rules for asthma patients.
