In the context of the increasingly complex medical environment and frequent doctor-patient disputes in China,medical social work,as an important part of the medical and health system,plays an increasingly important role,but from the perspective of professional development,medical social work is still in at the initial stage of development and still has many problems.The lack of professional talents is an important factor that hinders the development of medical social work.Professional internship is an important way to train medical social work professionals.The role of medical interns directly affects the quality of the new batch of medical social work professionals.However,in the process of professional internship,interns play multiple roles as students,doctor-patient relationship coordinator,event organization planner,resource linker,etc.,but also face social stakeholders,hospitals,patients and other multi-stakeholders,which are easy to produce roles conflict.This research relies on the medical social work service project of "Medical Road Child Travel" of W Children's Hospital,taking W Children's Hospital as an internship place,based on the role conflict theory,and combining the author's medical social work major at W Children's Hospital for more than two months Internship,interview medical social work interns,medical staff,and professional medical social workers,collect relevant materials,and discuss the role conflicts of medical social work interns.Through the collation of interview materials,it is found that medical social work interns have both conflicts within roles based on role expectations,role capabilities,and role practice,as well as conflicts between roles that play multiple different roles at the same time based on time and value.After summarized and analyzed the data,it was found that the medical social work interns were not supported enough,the medical social work education was flawed,the medical social worker recognition was low,the positioning was unclear,and the interns'own ability and role requirements were unbalanced.The role conflict of medical social worker interns.Based on this,the author puts forward opinions and suggestions for mitigating role conflicts from the five aspects of role support,role learning,role recognition,role positioning and role adjustment of medical social work interns,so as to promote medical social work interns' Perfect the role and promote the professional and professional path of medical social work.
