| Objective:To make observations of the clinical efficacy and make an assessment about the elderly patients' quality of life by the Xuanfei Yiqi Tongfu Decoction in treating senile functional constipation and summarize the experience.The purpose is he purpose is to make Chinese medicine play an advantage in the diagnosis and treatment of elderly functional constipation.Methods:60 elderly patients with functional constipation who met the inclusion criteria of this clinical study were collected from outpatients and according to the random number table method,they were divided into 30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.The elderly patients enrolled in the treatment group were given oral decoction of Chinese medicine decoction,with Xuanfei Yiqi Tongzhi as the main rule;The control group was treated with cistanche tongbian oral liquid.Both of them were treated for 4 weeks.Through questionnaires,the TCM syndromes score form and quality of life rating form were filled in,and the single TCM syndromes score,the total TCM syndromes score,the total quality of life score and the total TCM syndromes score of the two groups of elderly patients before and after treatment were recorded as the indicators for determining the efficacy.Collect and organize data and conduct SPSS20.0 statistical processing and analysis.Results:1.Intra-group comparison of single score of TCM syndromes between the two groups:The scores of treatment group and control group were lower than before(P<0.01).Comparing between the two groups:The efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.01,P<0.05),where in five aspects:sweat out after hard work,shortness of breath,cough and asthma,mental fatigue and loss of appetite.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the three symptoms of difficult defecation,prolonged defecation?spontaneous perspiration?dizziness and heart palpitations.2.Comparison of total scores of TCM symptoms between the two groups:After treatment,both groups showed better TCM symptoms than before treatment(P<0.01).While the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01);The treatment group has better effect on improving symptoms.3.Comparison of the total effective rate between the two groups after treatment:the total effective rate of the treatment group can reach 96.67%,which is 73.33%compared with the total effective rate of the control group(P<0.01),and the treatment of Chinese medicine decoction is obviously better than Congrong Tongbian oral solution.4.Evaluation of the quality of life improvement of the elderly in the two groups after treatment:After treatment,the total score of the quality of life of the elderly patients in the two groups improved to a certain extent(P<0.05).The improvement in the quality of life of elderly patients in the treatment group was even more pronounced.(P<0.05).5.In the aspect of the recurrence rates:Followed up for four weeks after the end of treatment,the treatment group recurrence rate was 3.45%,while the control group was 22.73%and there was a obvious distinction between the two groups(P<0.01).The treatment group is superior to the control group in terms of long-distance curative effect.Conclusion:The method of Xuanfei Yiqi Tongfu to treat senile functional constipation is safe and effective.It can not only relieve the symptoms of defecation difficulty and accompanying symptoms,but also significantly improve the quality of life of elderly patients.It had more advantages than cistanche tongbian oral liquid in improving scores of TCM symptoms.It is worthy of clinical research. |
