Objective : To observe the efficacy of Yiqi Yangxue Tongbian Tang in the treatment of functional constipation(FC)with Qi and Xue deficiency, thus providing an effective drug and theoretical basis for clinical treatment of the disease.Methods:1.Selected subjects: all patients who were treated by the spleen and stomach clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and 60 patients with functional constipation diagnosed by Chinese medicine Qi and Xue deficiency.2.The inclusion criteria were divided into 30 patients in the experimental group and 30 patients in the control group. The experimental group was treated with a self-designed prescription of invigorating qi and nourishing blood for defecation. One dose of water was decocted for 400 ml and 200 ml per time per day, followed by morning and evening warm fasting(in order to eliminate the errors in the quality, decocting and administration of traditional Chinese medicine, the decocting room of the affiliated hospital of shandong university of traditional Chinese medicine was used for this treatment). The control group was treated with polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder(shutaiqing),one package of each agent A and B was dissolved in125 ml warm water orally, twice A day.The course of treatment was 4 weeks, followed up for 1 month after treatment.3.At the end of treatment, the total score, safety and recurrence rate of TCMsymptoms of patients in the two groups before and after treatment for 1 month after treatment were statistically analyzed, and conclusions were drawn.Results:1.There was no difference in gender, age, course of disease, severity of illness and total score of TCM symptoms before treatment between the two groups(P >0.05),which was comparable.2.After the treatment,4 patients in the experimental group were cured,14 were obviously effective,10 were effective, and 2 were ineffective. The total effective rate was 93.33%.In the control group,1 person was cured,9 persons were obviously effective,15 persons were effective,5 persons were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 83.33%.The comparison of effective rates between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in the clinical efficacy of treating functional constipation with deficiency of Qi and Xue.3.The total score of TCM symptoms before and after treatment in the experimental group was P<0.05,indicating that oral administration of TCM could significantly improve the symptoms of constipation. In the control group,P<0.05 was compared before and after treatment with the total score of TCM symptoms, indicating that oral administration of western medicine(polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder)can also improve the symptoms of constipation. The total score of TCM symptoms after treatment was compared between the experimental group and the control group,P<0.05,indicating that the effect of oral Chinese medicine on the disease was better than that of the control group. The total score of TCM symptoms in the two groups at 1 month after treatment was compared,P<0.05,indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in the improvement of symptoms at 1 month after treatment. The total scores of TCM symptoms in the two groups after treatment and 1 month after treatment were compared,P<0.05,indicating that the improvement of symptoms in the two groups after treatment was significantly better than 1 month after treatment.4.Follow-up 1 month after the end of treatment,4 patients in the experimentalgroup had recurrence, with a recurrence rate of 14.29%.The recurrence rate of 10 patients in the control group was 40.00%.The recurrence rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in the long-term efficacy of the treatment of the disease.5.During the treatment period,no discomfort symptoms beyond the treatment effect were found in both groups, and the safety was good. Conclusion: Yiqi Yangxue Tong Bian Tang has good curative effect in treating functional constipation with deficiency of Qi and Xue,and has obvious curative effect in improving patients’ symptoms without adverse reactions, which is worthy of further clinical research and application.
