Abstract/Summary:
Objects:1.This research was designed to evaluate the clinical effects and superiorities of the acupuncture manipulation of dragon-tiger fighting at Ganshu(BL-18) point in terms of treating the patients in sub-healthy state with insomnia from the perspective of regulating the emotional state. And the correlation of the sleep improvement and the improving emotional state was also discussed, this research aimed to provide scientific and reliable basis for the clinical applications and Promotions of this treatment method among the patients in the sub-healthy state with insomnia.2.This research proved that the stagnation of liver Qi was the main pathogenesis of the sub-healthy state with insomnia, and it further provided new thoughts for treating state of approaching illness by means of the acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods:This research selected 70 subjects, who accordance with the inclusion criteria and ages from 18 to 60, from the outpatients at the center of preventing illness in Sichuan Province Chinese Medicine Hospital and college students, and it randomly divided them into group A and group B. The group A was treated by means of normal acupuncturing and dragon-tiger fighting at Ganshu(BL-18) point, while group B was treated with normal acupuncturing and mild reinforcing-reducing method at Ganshu(BL-18) point. Both groups were carried out five times a week, two weeks for a period of the treatment, and a total of two course of the treatment. When the research was accomplished, we compared the changes of the scores of PSQI、SDS、 HAMA and the stagnation of liver Qi scale in the before 、 after treatment and follow-up visit. Simultaneously, we observed and evaluated the correlation of the sleep improvement and the improving emotional state among the two groups.Results:1.The self-contrast of before and after treatment:At the end of the treatment, the total scores of PSQI、SDS、HAMA、and the stagnation of liver Qi scale obviously increased than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The contrast between the two groups after treatment:At the end of the treatment, the group A was superior to group B in aspect of the total scores of PSQI and the stagnation of liver Qi scale(P<0.05), while there was no obvious difference in aspect of the scores of SDS, HAMA between them.3.The contrast between the two groups follow-up visit:A month later, the follow-up visit of both groups shows that the total scores of PSQI、SDS、HAMA、and the stagnation of liver Qi scale obviously increased than before treatment, and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05),but there is no statistically significant(P>0.05) while compared with the result of after treatment. The contrast between the two groups reveals that the group A is significantly lower than the group B in the scores of PSQI、SDS、and the stagnation of liver Qi scale(P<0.05), but there is no significant difference in the scores of HAMA between them(P>0.05).4.The correlation analysis between sleep improvement and emotional state improvement:At the end of the treatment, the score of PSQI in group A has a positive correlation with SDS(r=0.468, P=0.006), and HAMA(r=0.412, P=0.017); And the score of PSQI in group B has a positive correlation with SDS(r=0.480, P=0.004), and HAMA(r=0.391, P=0.022).Conclusions:1.The acupuncture manipulation of dragon-tiger fighting at Ganshu(BL-18) point can significantly improve the symptoms of insomnia and the stagnation of liver Qi syndromes, and its effect is obviously superior to the normal acupuncturing group.2.The acupuncture manipulation of dragon-tiger fighting at Ganshu(BL-18) point and the normal acupuncturing have similarly positive correlation in the aspects of improving the sleep and emotional state. But there is no significant advantage for he acupuncture manipulation of dragon-tiger fighting at Ganshu(BL-18) point in aspect of relieving the depression and anxiety of sub-healthy state with insomnia.3.The acupuncture manipulation of dragon-tiger fighting at Ganshu(BL-18) point is worthy of promotion because of its long-term effect, low recurrence rate and little adverse reaction in treating the sub-healthy state with insomnia.
