Objective: To explore the relationship between the relevant factors of the periodontal status of the remaining teeth in patients with Kennedy I and II dentition defects and periodontal disease,and to compare the differences in the periodontal status of remaining teeth between middle-aged and senior people with Kennedy I and II dentition defects with periodontal disease under various ages and related influencing factors.Methods: The research subjects who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in the Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University and Department of Stomatology,the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.Questionnaire survey and periodontal index check of remaining teeth in the mouth of the research subjects,and the results were analyzed by age.Results: A total of 117 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were collected,including 63 females and 54 males.According to the measurement value of the mean,the mean values of PD,gingival recession and AL in the 45~54 and 55~64 age groups are higher than that of men,while the mean values of PD,gingival recession and AL in the 65~74 and over 75 age groups are lower than that of women.In male patients,the mean values of PD,gingival recession and AL in the 45~54 and 55~64 age groups were higher than those in the 65~74 and over 75 age groups;in female patients,the mean values of PD,gingival recession and AL in the 45~54 and 55~64 age groups were lower than those in the 65~74 and over 75 age groups.In the 45~54 and 55~64 age groups,there were significant differences in PD,gingival recession and AL between men and women.In the age group over 75 years old,there are obvious and difference in PD and AL between men and women.Conclusions: There are gender differences in the measurements of PD,gingival recession,and AL in middle-aged and senior patients with Kennedy I and II dentition defects with periodontal disease over the age of 45.As the number and time of brushing increased,the detection rate of BOP and tooth mobility of each age group decreased.
