The Futher Clinical Prosthetic Effect Of Konuskronen Telescope Denture On Periodontitis With Dentition Defect

Objective: Observe the clinical data of the krouskronen telescope denture treatment for 5.5-7.0 years on person suffered with periodontal diseases and dentition defect, to evidence the continuous clinical effects of the krouskronen telescope denture treatment, and further to provide some references for the clinical repair treatment of periodontal diseases and dentition defect. Methods: 9 parients with periodontal discases and dentition defect who received periodontal synthetical treatment at the oral department, 1st hospital, Xinjiang Medical University from 2000.1-2001.12 were reviewed. There were 13 krouskronen telescope dentures in 9 patients who totally had 90 abutment teeth, including 82 of mobility. The follow-up period varied from 5.5 to 7.0 years. The changes of tooth m obility,gingival index,patients' feelings,periodontal pocket depth and others were determined before and after prosthetic treatment. Statistically significant difference(P<0.05) was found for the mobility before and after prosthetic treatment. Results: The patients satisfied with telescope denture, and total rate of validity were 93.3%. After treatment teeth mobility decreased with no periodontal pocket; and 36 abutment teeth had slight gingivitis. Conclusion: Combining the clinical index with the patients' satisfaction with krouskronen telescope denture, it show that the krouskronen telescope denture is effective in prosthodontic treatment of periodontal disease with dentition defect.
