The Clinical Observation Of Pudilan Xiaoyan Oral Liquid On Treating Children With Common Cold Due To Wind-heat

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Pudilan xiaoyan oral liquid in the treatment of common cold due to wind-heat of children,and to explore the effect of pudilan xiaoyan oral liquid on WBC and N%abnormality and its mechanism on upper respiratory tract infection.Methords:In this study,60 cases of children with common cold due to wind-heat who met the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into the pudilan group and the ribavirin group,with 30 cases in each group.There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender,age and other conventional supportive symptomatic treatment.The ribavirin group was given Ribavirin granules and conventional supportive symptomatic treatment,while the pudilan group was given Pudilan xiaoyan oral liquid and conventional supportive symptomatic treatment.Both groups were treated for 5 days for one course of treatment.The changes of TCM symptom scores before and after treatment in the pudilan group and the ribavirin group were observed,and the changes of fever,cough,runny nose,sore throat and other symptoms in the children after treatment were recorded.The time of partial symptom disappearance was recorded,and the changes of WBC and N%abnormal cases in venous blood before and after treatment were compared.The general data of the two groups of children and the observed indicators before and after treatment were analyzed statistically.Results:1.There was no significant difference in general data between the pudilan group and the ribavirin group(P>0.05).The total efficiency of the pudilan group was better than that of the ribavirin group(P<0.05).2.The difference of the total score of TCM symptoms between the two groups before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.01),and the difference of the score between the two groups before and after treatment was also statistically significant(P<0.05).3.After treatment,the scores of TCM symptoms in the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.01),and the symptoms of cough and runt were significantly different between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01),while the other symptoms were not significantly different between the two groups(P>0.05).4.The curative effect of the two groups in terms of temperature recovery time was similar(P>0.05),while the pudilan group was superior to the ribavirin group in terms of the disappearance time of symptoms such as cough,running nose and sore throat,and the difference of curative effect between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05,P<0.01).5.Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the number of WBC and N%abnormal cases between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the number of WBC and N%abnormal cases in the two groups decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.01),and the efficacy of the two groups was similar(P>0.05).Conclusion:The results showed that the effect of Pudilan oral liquid in the treatment of children with cold caused by wind heat was obvious,which could effectively improve the symptoms of children with traditional Chinese medicine and shorten the clinical treatment time.Pudilan oral liquid can improve WBC and N%abnormality,and its mechanism may be related to the mechanism of inflammatory response,which is worthy of further study.
