Two parts is included in the thesis, theoretical and clinical research.Theoretical researchThrough the reaserches on common cold in the ancient and modern TCM literatures and the modern medical literatures, investigate the occurrence and development of the common cold, thereby, we can build more in-depth and systematic understanding on this disease, and in order to treat the disease with traditional chiese medicine well.Clinical researchObjective:observe the score changes of the symptoms and signs of common cold due to wind-heat before and after treatment, make the systematic review on clinical safty and effectiveness of the test medicine for the children's common cold due to wind-heat.Methods:through the clinical teat methods of multi-center, stratified, block randomized and parallel controlled trials, divide 60 cases of children with common cold due to wind-head who measure up the standard of diagnosis into the test group with chinese nedicine and the control group with the anti-virus west medicine. Results:the difference of the overall effects in the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05); the control group was significantly superior to the teat group on the onset of effect in reducing the fever (P<0.05), but the test group was significantly superior to the control group in the body temperature returning to normal (P<0.01). And the effect of the teat group is better than the control group in improving the symptoms of common cold with phlegm including cough and expectoration etc. and improving the common cold with food retention including abdominal distension and poor appetite etc. Conclusion:the chinese medicine has the positive effect for the children's common cold due to wind-heat; in the chinese medicine group, even though the onset of effect in reducing the fever is slow, the effect is permanent, and it can inprove some clinical symptoms and improve or reduce the accompanied symptoms; the chinese medicine is safe and efective.
