The Effect Of The Combination Of Risperidone And Tandospirone On Cognitive Function Of Schizophrenics

Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of risperidone on the cognitive function of schizophrenics when combined with tandospirone.Methods:According to the order of hospitalization of schizophrenics,62 patients were randomly divided into two groups,the study group(risperidone combined with tandispirone)with 31 patients,and the control group(risperidone combined with placebo)with 31 patients.The initial dosage of risperidone in the study group was 2mg/d.According to the tolerance degree of each patient to the drug,the dosage of the drug was gradually increased to 4mg/d~6mg/d in two weeks.If the condition needs,the maximum can be added to 8mg/d.The initial dose of tandospirone was 5mg/d.Samely,according to the tolerance degree of each patient to the drug,the dosage was gradually added to 30mg/d in two weeks.Necessarily,the maximum could be adjusted to 60mg/d.The placebo was used as a starch capsule similar to the appearance of tandospirone.At the time of admission and 6 weeks after,PANSS scale of each group was used to observe the clinical curative effect.Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS)was used to assess adverse drug reactions.Wisconsin Card Sorting Test(WCST)and Wechsler Menory Scale(WMS)were used to estimate cognitive function.Each scale and index in the test,was actualized before and after treatment,and in two groups.All the data collected during the whole study were analyzed by SPSS22.0.Results:31 schizophrenics were included in the study group and the control group respectively.At the time of admission,the PANSS scores of the 62 schizophrenics were respectively evaluated.The results showed that there was no significant difference in scores between the two groups of PANSS(P > 0.05).After 6 weeks of treatment,the 62 schizophrenics scales were scored again,and the changes in the PANSS scores of the two groups were compared.It was found that the scores of the two groups were significantly reduced,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).Although the scores of the two groups were different,there was no significant difference(P > 0.05).The score of WCST was evaluated,and there was little difference between the two groups at the time of admission.After 6 weeks of treatment,correct responses(Rc)and complete classification number(Cc)in the same group were significantly higher than before.Furthermroe the study group increased more significantly and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).The non persistent error number(nRpe),persistent error number(Rpe)and error responses(Re)were significantly decreased.In addition,the study group decreased in Re and nRpe more obviously,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).In WMS,there was no significant difference in memory quotient between the two groups before treatment.After 6 weeks of treatment,the score of memory quotient in the two groups increased,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).The increase of the study group was more obvious,which had significant difference(P < 0.01).As to the drug adverse reactions,two groups had disorder,acute muscle tension,insomnia,akathisia,dry mouth,constipation and other adverse reactions to a light extent.By adjusting the dose of the drug or treatment with esta-zolam,trihexyphenidyl,compound aloe capsule and other symptomatic treatment,adverse reactions disappeared.The comparison of the two groups showed that the study group had fewer and milder adverse reactions than the control group,especially in sedentary aspect,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.The combination of risperidone and tandospirone was better than risperidone alone in the improvement of cognitive function,and tandospirone could improve cognitive function.2.Both risperidone combined with tandospirone and risperidone alone could effectively control mental symptoms in schizophrenics.The two treatment measures were effective in controlling mental symptoms.3..In the process of treatment,the combination of risperidone combined with tandospirone had less side effects,which was beneficial to improve the compliance of the patients.
