Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture at acupoints of Shaoyang Meridian on improving tinnitus symptoms in patients with refractory sudden deafness,and to find a treatment method for improving tinnitus symptoms and improving the quality of life of patients with sudden deafness and tinnitus symptoms.Methods: Thirty-two eligible subjects were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.The control group took Chinese herbal decoction orally three times a day,150 ml each time,and the basic prescription was: activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,eliminating phlegm and resuscitating Qi,calming liver and Qi and promoting Qi and clearing away Qi.The treatment group was given acupuncture at the affected side of the auditory palace,hearing,ear door,gale,rate valley;bilateral wind pools,Waiguan,Zhongzhu.Once a day.The two groups were treated for 5 times a week for 30 times.Tinnitus disability scale(THI),tinnitus severity scale,self-rating anxiety scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),pure tone audiometry were completed before and 30 times after treatment.After the treatment,the data of the above scale were collected,the database was established,and the data were analyzed by SPSS software,so as to compare the effects of the two treatment methods.Result: Thirty-two patients were enrolled in this study.They were divided into control group and experimental group,with 16 cases in each group.1.There was no evident difference in year,sex and course between the two sets(P > 0.05).2.There was no evident difference between the two sets in the severity of tinnitus,tinnitus disability assessment scale,pure tone hearing threshold score,PSQI)score and SAS score before and after treatment(P > 0.05).3.Statistical analysis of the scores of each group before and after treatment in the experimental group showed significant difference(P < 0.05).4.Statistical analysis of Pittsburgh Sleep Scale(PSQI)score and pure tone auditory threshold before and after treatment in the control group showed significant difference(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine is effective in improving tinnitus symptoms,severity,anxiety,sleep quality and hearing loss in patients with refractory sudden deafness.Acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine is effective in improving anxiety in patients with refractory sudden deafness.2.Chinese medicine is effective in improving hearing loss and sleep quality in patients with refractory sudden deafness accompanied by tinnitus symptoms.3.There was no significant difference in the improvement of tinnitus symptoms and severity,anxiety,hearing loss and sleep quality between the two groups.
