Objective:By observeing the clinical efficacy (nearby and long-dated efficacy.) of Migraine treated with Electro-acupuncture at acupoints of Shaoyang meridian and the vary of TCD before and after the treatment, to preliminary probe biologic effect specificity of channel-point and the mechanism of Electro-acupuncture alleviating pain, and provide theoretical basis for choosing Electro-acupuncture and acupoints in clinical practice. Methods:The research was launched in a stochastic, contrasted and single mind way.70 cases compling with a standard, all of which were come from acupuncture department of outpatient service and sickroom of Hubei Hospital of TCM, were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with each 35 cases. The treatment group selected acupoints of Shaoyang meridian and the other group selected the acupoints which were not belong to Shaoyang meridian. Both group were treated with Electro-acupuncture of Han style, with once a day, fifth a week, altogether received 4 weeks of treatment and follow-up visit in eighth week. The frequency, level, duration, concomitant symptoms, VAS mark sheets and TCD indexes of migraine's outbreaking were recorded in the beginning and 4th week to judge the nearby efficacy. All the items, except TCD results, were recorded in the 8th week to judge the long-dated efficacy. Results:The results of the 4th week(nearby eff icacy):â‘ The total effect of treatment group was obviously superior to the control group with p<0.01;â‘¡The frequency, level, duration, concomitant symptoms, VAS mark sheets of treatment group after the treatment were superior to pretreatment (p<0.01),and also control group with p<0.05;â‘¢Both group's headachy degree were lighter than pretreatment (p<0.05), but the treatment group was more even (p<0.05);â‘£The MCA(Vm), ACA(Vm), VA(Vm)and BA(Vm)of treatment group after the treatment significantly improved compared with pretreatment (p<0.01). They also had significant difference with the control group in the five items except RPCA (Vm),RVA (Vm),LPCA(Vm),LVA(Vm),with p<0.05. The results of the 8th week (long-dated efficacy.):â‘ The total effect of treatment group was superior to the control group with p<0.05;â‘¡The frequency, level, duration, concomitant symptoms, VAS mark sheets of treatment group after the treatment were superior to pretreatment (p<0.05),and also control group in the aspects of frequency, level, and VAS mark sheets with p<0.05;â‘¢The headachy degree of treatment group was lighter than pretreatment with p<0.05, and also the control group with p<0.05, but nearly the same with the result of the 4th weekend. Conclusion:â‘ Both remedis were proved effective.â‘¡The nearby and long-dated efficacy of Shaoyang meridian group were both superior to the control group,so,the therapeutic method deserved popularized in clinical practice.â‘¢The blood flow velocity in intracranial arteries improved significantly after the treatment of electro-acupuncture, especially Shaoyang meridian group, which provide certain theoretical basis for electro-acupuncture can improve vasomotoricity of intracranial arteries and the biologic effect specificity of channel-point.
