Objectives:To explore the value of hs-CRP in predicting the prognosis of cervical cancer by analyzing the correlation between hs-CRP level and clinicopathological parameters and SCCA level. Methods:The levels of SCCA and hs-CRP in 316 patients with cervical cancer and 57 controls were measured. The correlation between SCCA and hs-CRP and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed as well.KS-Normality test was performed by SPSS 12.0 statistical software.Mann-Whitney U nonparametric test was used for comparison between groups.Logistic regression analysis was used for multivariate analysis, and Spearman rank sum test was used for correlation analysis. Results:The average level of SCCA and hs-CRP in 316 patients with cervical cancer before operation was 1.30(0.80?3.60)ng/mL and 1.13(0.58?2.81)ng/mL,while that in control group was 0.10(0.00?0.28)ng/mL and hs-CRP was 0.00(0.00?0.10)ng/mL.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P?0.05).Univariate analysis showed that both SCCA and hs-CRP levels were independently correlated with age(P?0.05),clinical stage(P?0.05),pathological grade(P?0.05),vascular infiltration(P?0.05),lymphatic metastasis(P?0.05)and deep cervical infiltration(P?0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that the increase of SCC level was related to clinical stage(P?0.05),pathological grade(P?0.01),lymphatic metastasis(P<0.01);age(P?0.05),clinical stage(P?0.05),case grade(P?0.01),lymphatic metastasis(P?0.01).Infiltration(P?0.05)contributed to the increase of hs-CRP level. In addition,hs-CRP was positively correlated with SCCA(r?0.887,p?0.05).Conclusions:The preoperative levels of SCCA and hs-CRP in patients with cervical cancer increased significantly with the increase of FIGO staging and pathological grading of the tumors;the levels of SCCA and hs-CRP were also closely related to lymph node metastasis, the more lymph node metastasis, the higher the levels of SCCA and hs-CRP;hs-CRP level was positively correlated with age,but SCCA level was not related to age,and the two biomarkers could be used together to evaluate treatment more accurately;Pre-treatment serum hs-CRP level can be used as a valuable prognostic indicator for cervical cancer.
