Analysis Of The Curative Effect Of Two Surgical Methods For Adenoid Hypertrophy With Secretory Otitis Media

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the advantages of adenoidectomy alone by comparing the clinical efficacy of adenoidectomy with adenoidectomy plus tympanic membrane puncture and catheterization in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy with secretory otitis media,the occurrence of postoperative ear complications and the improvement of postoperative quality of life.Methods: The clinical data of 106 patients with adenoid hypertrophy complicated with secretory otitis media diagnosed by Otolaryngology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from October 2017 to August 2018 were analyzed.The patients were followed up for 1 month to 1 year after discharge.The clinical efficacy and the occurrence of ear complications were analyzed according to the follow-up results.The patients were preoperatively and 3 months to 1 year after operation.With the informed consent of the patient's guardian,chronic otitis media questionnaire and chronic otitis media questionnaire were used to analyze the changes of patients' quality of life before and after operation.Result: frist.There was no significant difference in the total effective rate and the incidence of ear complications between the two groups(P>0.05).It showed that the clinical efficacy and the incidence of ear complications of two different surgical methods for adenoid hypertrophy complicated with secretory otitis media were similar.second.CCES scores of quality of life before and after operation in the two groups improved significantly from 3 months to 1 year after operation,and the effect of improvement in the simple group was better than that in the combined group.In the secondary comparison,the limitation of movement(prevention of ear water intake),symptoms(improvement of hearing,ear discharge,etc.)in the simple group were significantly improved,the effect was better than that in the combined group,but the improvement effect between the two groups in occupying medical resources was better.There was no significant difference in fruit.third.The COM-5 scores of quality of life before and after operation in the two groups were significantly improved from 3 months to 1 year after operation,and the improvement effect of the simple group was better than that of the combined group;the scores of each item were improved compared with those before operation,and the improvement extent of the simple group was higher than that of the combined group.Conclusion: Adenoidectomy alone or adenoidectomy plus tympanic membrane puncture and catheterization can effectively treat adenoid hypertrophy with secretory otitis media,but adenoidectomy alone can better improve the quality of life of patients,so it is more worthy of clinical promotion.
