Objective:Compare and analyse the efficacy of low-temperature plasma adenoidectomy and low-temperature plasma adenoidectomy combined with tympanostomy tube insertion in the treatment of children with adenoid hypertrophy and secretory otitis media,to explore safer, more effective and simpler treatment methods.Method:a total of 63 cases of secretory otitis media with adenoid hypertrophy from May 2014 to May 2018 were selected as the study objects,All children were confirmed adenoid hypertrophy by nasopharyngeal lateral radiography or electronic nasopharyngeal, and secretory otitis media were confirmed by aerated otoscope or otoscope examination and acoustic impedance examination(pure tone audiometry for those who can cooperate)before surgery. All the children were divided into the low-temperature plasma adenoidectomy group(group A)and the low-temperature plasma adenoidectomy combined with tympanostomy tube insertion group(group B).The efficacy, incidence of complications and recurrence rate of the two groups were observed after operation,SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used to analyze the experimental data.Chi-square test was used for counting data,T test was used for measuring data, and rank sum test was used for grade data. The difference was statistically significant with p<0.05.Result: 1.The total effective rate:40 cases(64 ears)in group A were cured by 49 ears, improved by 6 ears, but had no effect by 9 ears. The total effective rate was 85.94%.There were 23 cases(44 ears)in group B,33 ears were cured,3 ears were improved,8 ears were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 81.82%.There was no significant differences between the two groups(=0.334,p=0.56>0.05).2.complication rate: No complications occurred during the follow-up period ingroup A,4 ears of ear leakage occurred during the follow-up period in group B,and 1 ear was removed in advance.the incidence rate of complications was 11.37%.there was statistical significance between the two groups(= 6.83,p = 0.009 < 0.05).3.recurrence rate: During the follow-up period, there was no recurrence in group A but 4 ears in group B,with a recurrence rate of 9.10%.there was statistical significance between the two groups(= 5.531,p = 0.019 < 0.05).Conclusion: There is no statistical difference between the curative effects of simple low-temperature plasma adenoidectomy and low-temperature plasma adenoidectomy combined with tympanostomy tube insertion in the treatment of children with adenoid hypertrophy and secretory otitis media. At the same time,it is obviously superior to the latter in reducing the incidence of complications and recurrence rate. Therefore,it can be used as a safe, effective and simple treatment for children with adenoid hypertrophy and secretory otitis media.
