Clinical Observation Of Professor Guo Zhaogang On The Treatment Of Chronic Sinusitis With The Tongti Decoction

Objective: As a common disease in Otorhinolaryngology,Chronic Rhinosinusitis has a great impact on patients.Therefore,more and more attention has been paid to Chronic Rhinosinusitis in recent years.Professor Guo Zhaogang is the Sixth Batch of instructors to inherit the academic experience of the national experts of traditional Chinese medicine.He is good at treating various diseases of Otolaryngology and has a unique understanding of Chronic Rhinosinusitis.He believed that the etiology and pathogenesis of CRS was due to Suffer the internal and external synergy of pathogenic factors,weakness of vital energy and exuberance of evil.He put forward a proposal of treatment for CRS as same as pyocutaneous.This paper puts forward three methods for treating CRS: cutting off the source,opening the paranasal sinus and draining the pus,which are integrated into one side and self-created Tongti Decoction for treating CRS.At the same time,we should pay attention to the emotional guidance of patients,and guide them to establish a correct understanding of the CRS.This article compares Tongti Decoction with Xiangju Capsule in the treatment of Chronic Rhinosinusitis of lung meridian heat accumulation type in clinical efficacy and application value,in order to summarize Professor Guo Zhaogang's Academic thought in the treatment of Chronic Rhinosinusitis,and provide a reference for the treatment of Chronic Rhinosinusitis of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: Eighty patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis who met the inclusion criteria in the ENT department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected,ten patients were lost,all remain 70 effective cases,and it was divided into two groups according to the principle of random allocation.35 patients in the treatment group were given Tongti Decoction orally,while 35 patients in the control group were given Xiangju Capsule orally.The main symptoms and signs of the patients were observed and recorded before treatment,The seventh days after treatment and the fifteenth days after treatment.SPSS21.0 statistical software was used.Data analysis,measurement data using t test,rank sum test,non-parametric test for data that do not conform to normal distribution and homogeneity test of variance,P ? 0.05 will be considered to have significant difference.Result:1.Comparison between the two groups before treatment: The scores of nasal obstruction,runny nose,dizziness,headache,Olfactory hypothyroidism,nasal itching and sneezing,pharyngeal itching cough,turbinate swelling and nasal secretion before treatment in the treatment group and the control group were comparable(P > 0.05).2.Comparison between the two groups after treatment: After 7 and 15 days of treatment,the scores of symptoms and physical signs were all less,P <0.05,indicating that there were statistical differences.That is to say,the symptoms and physical signs of the treatment group and the control group were less than those of the control group after 7 and 15 days of treatment.The symptoms and signs of the treatment group were less than those of the control group.3.Clinical efficacy evaluation: The clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients was tested by rank sum test,with statistical difference P=0.028<0.05.The cure rate of the treatment group was 25.72%,and that of the control group was 8.57%.The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(88.58%>74.28%).Therefore,the clinical effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.Conclusion:1.Tongti Decoction can significantly improve the the patient's symptoms of nasal obstruction,runny nose,dizziness,headache,Olfactory hypothyroidism,nasal itching and sneezing,pharyngeal itching cough in the treatment of CRS(Heat accumulation type of lung meridian).The short-term curative effect is satisfactory and the patients' satisfaction is high.2.Compared with Xiangju Capsule,Tongti Decoction has better effect than Xiangju Capsule;Tongti Decoction has no obvious adverse reactions and has high safety.Patients are willing to accept it.3.Professor Guo Zhaogang has a good effect in treating CRS from sores theory,and his experience of Tongti Decoction of the efficacy deserves further study.
