Research On The Development Of Medical Tourism Industry In Jilin Province

With the rapid development of economy,people's cognition of their quality of life and health has been improved.As a result,medical tourism industry has gradually entered people's view.With the continuous development of economy of Jilin Province,the tourism industry has become one of the pillar industries supporting the economic development of Jilin Province.As a branch of tourism industry,medical tourism industry is a green industry formed by the integration of medical resources and tourism industry.As it is in line with the sustainable development strategy of today's society,developing medical tourism industry in Jilin Province is the corollary of the incentive to the optimize and upgrade the industrial structure.Despite the current immaturity of the local medical tourism industry,the potential for its promising development is ensured by the medical resources and basis in Jilin Province.This paper first elaborates on the status quo of the development of medical tourism industry in Jilin Province.Diamond Model is then used for the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of its development.Afterwards,factor analysis is used to identify the primary factors that justify developing medical tourism industry in Jilin Province and its national ranking,so as to understand the developing level.Grounded on the analysis and synthesis of the development experience of foreign countries such as Thailand and India,and domestic regions such as Beijing,Shanghai and Hainan,which have been successfully developed medical tourism industry,the inspiration of development of medical tourism for Jilin Province is analyzed.Finally,based on the foregoing analysis,the advantages and disadvantages of medical tourism industry development in Jilin Province are discussed.In addition,drawing on the experience and lessons of developing medical tourism industry both home and abroad,measures and suggestions for promoting medical tourism industry in Jilin Province are proposed,including cultivating medical tourism awareness,formulating relevant supporting policies and regulations,introducing and training professional talents,establishing medical tourism industrial parks,developing characteristic medical tourism products,and opening medical tourism special lines,among others.
