The Enlightenment Of Thailand's Medical Tourism Development Model To Medical Tourism In Yunnan Province

In recent years,with the improvement of people's living standards,the consumption demand of Chinese people for tourism has been growing.According to the National Tourism Administration,the number of departure tourists in China exceeded 130 million in 2017.The citizens of these departure tourists are not only for sightseeing,the number of foreign medical tourism has reached more than 800,000,accounting for1.2% of the total number of departure tourists.Medical tourism is an emerging industry combining medical with tourism.It mainly refers to tourism services with the theme of disease treatment and health care.Medical tourism can not only let the tourists relax during the trip,but also enable the tourists to achieve the purpose of treatment and healing.The combination of medical industry and tourism industry is with great development prospects,and has become a new growth point for the global economy.According to the World Medical Tourism Organization,the total income of medical tourism in the world of 2017 was US$678.5 billion,accounting for 16% of total tourism revenue,and it is growing at a rate of 9.9% per year.It is estimated to reach US$165.345 billion by 2023.The excellent medical and tourism services of Asia,featured medical tourism products and intimate travel programs have attracted a large number of international medical tourists.Countries such as India,Thailand,Singapore and Malaysia have become the world's most promising medical tourism destinations with low costs and the developing momentum is strong.Thailand is one of the most developed countries in the world for medical tourism.It is also the preferred medical tourism destination for medical tourists.Thailand has accumulated rich experience in the development of medical tourism,and it has become the "leader" of medical tourism in the world with its strength.According to data from the Thailand Research Center,the number of medical tourism in Thailand was approximately 2.6 million in 2016.China also has good development conditions in medical tourism,and it has rich and unique medical tourism resources.According to the data of the China Industrial Research Institute,China's medical tourism market reached 128.6 billion yuan in 2017,and it is expected to achieve the goal of 260.6 billion yuan by 2021.At present,the development of medical tourism in China is in a period of vigorous development.Hainan Province,Si chuan Province,Guangdong Province and other mild and pleasant destinations have taken the pace of exploring medical tourism.Yunnan Province is a major tourist province in China.It has unique advantages in developing medical tourism and faces good opportunities.This paper uses field investigation method,comparative analysis method,qualitative and quantitative analysis method to study the paper.First of all,through a large number of literature analysis,we have mastered the research status of medical tourism,and have a basic understanding of medical tourism.It mainly reviews related researches such as destinations of medical tourism,source markets of medical tourism,influencing factors of medical tourism and market development of medical tourism.Secondly,it expounds the overall situation of international medical tourism development,analyzes the current status and characteristics of medical development in major destinations such as Thailand,India and Germany,and analyzes the overall situation of medical tourism development in China,introducing the areas with better medical tourism development such as Hainan,Shanghai,Guangdong.Then it studies the development model of medical tourism in Thailand,mainly analyzes the development history,current situation and success reasons of medical tourism in Thailand.In order to make the study more persuasive and more in line with the actual needs of consumers,through the field visits and questionnaire surveys in Thailand to investigate the medical tourism market in Thailand,analyze consumer demand for Chinese medical tourists in Thailand to understand influence factors and consumption intentions for medical tourism This paper studies the development status of medical tourism in Yunnan Province,analyzes the overall development situation of medical tourism in Yunnan Province,and then further analyzes the resources and market prospects of developing medical tourism in Yunnan Province,and also finds some problems of medical tourism development in Yunnan Province.Finally,based on the successful experience of medical tourism development in Thailand and the results of the questionnaire survey of Chinese tourists in Thailand,the relevant countermeasures and suggestions for the development of medical tourism in Yunnan Province are proposed.The study found that Thailand started early in the development of medical tourism and has rich experience in the development of medical tourism.After studying the characteristics of the development model of medical tourism in Thailand and the survey of medical tourists in Thailand,it was found that factors such as the strong policy support,cutting-edge medical technology,low cost,good service,and special medical products are important reasons for tourists to choose medical tourism in Thailand.The potential for developing medical tourism in Yunnan Province is huge,and it also faces some problems.For example,the relevant policies and plans for medical tourism need to be improved,the image of medical tourism brand has not yet been successfully molded,the promotion methods of medical tourism products are insufficient,and the level of medical technology needs to be improved.The related facilities of medical and tourism are imperfect.These problems are restricting the further development of medical tourism in Yunnan Province.It is necessary to actively learn from the experience of medical tourism in Thailand.Yunnan Province should actively promote the improvement of medical tourism policy system,build medical tourism industry clusters,shape medical tourism brand of Yunnan,strive to improve medical technology,continuously improve medical tourism supporting services,and make good use of various media to strengthen promotion of medical tourism in Yunnan Province.
