ObjectiveThrough the observation of the clinical curate effect of ankle three-needle combined with blood-letting cupping therapy for acute ankle sprain, comparing with three-needle therapy group and blood-letting cupping therapy group,it comes to a conclusion that it's a method of high cure rate according to their treatment principles and curative effect results. It could be popularized clinically.MethodsThe study used randomized controlled trial method.90 patients who met requirements of the study were equally divided into three group: treatment group A,control group B and control group C,each with 30 cases.Group A took the treatment of ankle three-needle combined with blood-letting cupping therapy, ankle three-needle therapy for group B,blood-letting cupping therapy for group C.The observation indicators of the curative effect after treatment was based on VAS pain score, swelling degree score,AOFAS ankle-hind foot function score. These three groups took the same time and course of each treatment: two courses, five times for a course, average two days for one time.Evaluate the curative effect among 5 times after and before treatment, after treatment in 10 times. At last, analyze the curative effect with the SPSS19.0 statistical software.Results1.Before the treatment, comparing their personal data such as gender, age, disease course, disease index of ankle sprain, disease site of ankle sprain,VAS pain scores, swelling degree,AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scale, there was no statistical significance(P>0.05)according to the comparative results. It showed the balanced distribution of personal basic information and demonstrated the comparability in the study.2.On VAS pain scores, swelling degree,AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scale, all of the results showed the statistical significance(P<0.05)according to the comparison within each group: in each group after the fifth treatment compared with before treatment,in each group after the tenth treatment compared with before treatment, after the tenth treatment compared with after the fifth treatment. The comparison among three groups before the treatment, their differences showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).This demonstrated that comparability of pre-treatment efficacy score in these three groups. As the number treatment increased, all these three groups had the efficacy of improving pain, swelling, and function of ankle joint.3.For treatment group A,control group B,and control group C,the comparison among their post-treatment results of first times on their VAS pain scores, swelling degree,AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scale, their differences showed the statistical significance(P<0.05).As a result, after the first treatment course of acute ankle sprain, the group with the three-needle combined with blood-letting cupping therapy was the best among these three groups on the efficacy of improving pain, swelling, and function of ankle joint. However, the efficacy of blood-letting cupping therapy was better than three-needle therapy.4.For treatment group A,control group B,and control group C,the comparison among their post-treatment results of tenth times on their VAS pain scores, swelling degree,AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scale, their differences showed statistical significance(P<0.05).For control group B and control group C,the comparison between their results on VAS pain scores and AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scale, the differences showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).As a result, after the tenth treatment of acute ankle sprain, the group with the three-needle combined with blood-letting cupping therapy was the best among these three groups on the efficacy of improving pain, swelling, and function of ankle joint. However, there was no obvious differences between the efficacy of the other two groups.5.At the end of the second course of treatment,in the treatment group A were 26 cases of recovery,3 cases of marked efficacy,1 case of effectiveness, and 0 case of invalid outcomes. Its control penetrance was 96.7%.In the control group B were 6 cases of recovery,13 cases of marked efficacy,11 case of effectiveness, and 0 case of invalid outcomes. Its control penetrance was 63.3%.In the control group C were 17 cases of recovery,8 cases of marked efficacy,5 case of effectiveness, and 0 case of invalid outcomes. Its control penetrance was 83.3%.The comparison between group A and B,between group B and C,and between group C and A,all of the results had statistical significance(P<0.05).As a result,on the treatment of acute ankle sprain, the three-needle combined with blood-letting cupping therapy had the best efficacy among these three therapies, and the efficacy of blood-letting cupping therapy was better than three-needle therapy.ConclusionsThrough the observation of the efficacy evaluation of the treatment of acute ankle sprain at different timing such as pre-treatment,post-treatment of five times and the tenth times, after the comparison of their efficacy analyzed with the statistical software SPSS19.0,it shows that the therapy of three-needle combined with blood-letting cupping, the threrapy of three needle, the therapy of blood-letting cupping, all of them, improve pain, swelling, and function of ankle joint. The compound therapy has the best outcome improvement among these three therapies. It also has faster efficacy, high cure rate, and great decrease on the pain and swelling.Besides,it quickly eliminates blood stasis and restored the function and activity of the patient's ankle joint. So the patients could be cured faster and come to a normal level of activity. As a result,it could be one of the clinical treatments for promotion. The treatment and results of the study could serve as a good reference for clinical practice.
