The Effect Of Acupoint Application Therapy On Hypertensive Patients With Yin Deficiency And Yang Excess Syndrome

Objective To formulate acupoint application scheme for the treatment of yin deficiency and yang excess hypertension,and to discuss the effect of acupoint application therapy in lowering blood pressure,improving TCM syndrome and the life quality of hypertensive patients with yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome.Methods Through literature review,clinical investigation to doctors,nurses and patients,expert consultations and pre-experiment to decide the specific contents of acupoint application scheme.Based on the inclusive and exclude criteria,80 hypertensive patients were choosed through convenient sampling and divided into control group and trial group via random number table.Every group had 40 patients.Trial group received general treatment and acupoint application therapy,control group only received general treatment.There were altogether 3 courses and every course had 4 weeks.Blood pressure and yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome were evaluated before the intervention and after every course.The life quality were evaluated before the intervention and after all courses finished.Results(1)After 8 weeks and 12 weeks of the intervention,the SBP of trial group was apparently dropped when compared with control group,which had statistically significant differences(P<0.01).The SBP of trial group after 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks of the intervention presented a downside,which had statistically significant differences at different timings(P<0.01).(2)Before and after 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks of the intervention,the DBP of trial group was not dropped obviously compared with control group(P>0.05)and there were no statistically significant differences in pair-wise comparison at 4 timings(P>0.05).(3)Followed up for 4 weeks after the intervention finished,the SBP and DBP of trial group had no statistically significant differences when comparied with after 12 weeks of the intervention.(4)After the intervention for 8 weeks and 12 weeks,yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome of trial group was evidently improved when compared with control group,which had statistically significant differences(P=0.000).Yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome of trial group after 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks of the intervention emerged distinctly improved trend,and had statistically significant differences at different timings(P=0.000).(5)After 12 weeks of the intervention,role physical(RP),general health(GH),vitality(VT)and mental health(MH)of trial group were overtly improved when compared with control group,which had statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After 12 weeks of the intervention,RP,GH,VT and MH of trial group were apparently improved when compared with before the intervention(P<0.01).Conclusion(1)The acupoint application scheme which is formulated by this research for the treatment of yin deficiency and yang excess hypertension has science and feasibility.(2)Acupoint application therapy can lower blood pressure,improve yin deficiency and yang excess syndrome and the life quality.
