Clinical Effect Of Pestle Needle On Elderly Patients With Low Back Pain (Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis Syndrome)

Objective: 1.To seek a more safe,effective and economical method for treating the elderly patients with lumbago and leg pain,to alleviate the symptoms,reduce the recurrence and reduce the cost of medical treatment.2.Through the study of low back and leg pain in elderly patients,the research results are extended to other common orthopaedic diseases such as cervical spondylopathy and shoulder periarthritis,which can effectively improve the quality of life of the elderly.Methods: from February 2017 to February 2018,the patients who were diagnosed as low back pain in the elderly and treated in outpatient department in the affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of traditional Chinese Medicine were analyzed retrospectively.Among the 100 patients,50 were treated with acupuncture and 50 with pestle needle.The data before treatment,during treatment and after treatment were recorded respectively,including(VAS score,ODI score,Prolo score after treatment)and safety index(patient tolerance).The results were analyzed statistically.Results:1.Sex,age,course of disease,VAS score before treatment,ODI score before treatment,Prolo score before treatment were at the same baseline,there was no significant difference between the two groups.2.After 1,3,and 6 month follow-up,the VAS score,ODI score,Prolo score after treatment of the two groups were significantly lower than those before the treatment,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture therapy and pestle needle therapy for old patients with low back pain(Qi stagnation and blood stasis type)can achieve good clinical effect.2.Compared with the treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion,it has the advantages of non-trauma compared with the treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion.
