Study Of Biofeedback Therapy On Drug Addicts Under-Compulsory Rehabilitation With Anxiety And Depression

The drug addicts under compulsory rehabilitation have a lot of anxiety and depression,which can affecting proceeding abstinence and also,makes it difficult to manage those drug addicts.The biofeedback therapy help people autonomic regulating their anxiety and depression by means of optimizing the brain waves structure and improving the brain functions,it has a distinct advantage on the regulation of the drug addicts' anxiety and depression.We use the SAS and the SDS to test 539 subjects,and have the Spirit-Mind Biofeedback System to treat those scores above the average,which proved to have good results on the cure of anxiety and depression,and also proceeding abstinence.ObjectiveTo assess the anxiety and depression level of the drug addicts under compulsory rehabilitation,and analyzing the effects of biofeedback therapy on drug addicts under compulsory rehabilitation with anxiety and depression.MethodsConducting a survey about the anxiety and depression level of 539 drug addicts,which came from Nanchang Compulsory Rehabilitation Center,Jiangxi Province.After that,choosing 64 of them as the formal subjects,which the SAS score ?50 and the SDS score ?53,and were randomly divided into a control group(n=32,only physical and mental nursing)and an experiment group(n=32,physical and mental nursing combined with the biofeedback therapy).The biofeedback treatments were operated once a week,for 30 minutes,continued for ten weeks.3 months after intervention,we measuring both groups' physiological and psychological indexes.Results and Conclusion(1)The average score of SAS and SDS of the drug addicts well above the average,the former is(62.83±12.16),the latter is(61.71±11.48),which means those groups has serious anxiety and depression disorders and bad mental health situation.(2)After intervention,the experiment group's ?,? and SMR amplitude and the skin temperature were significantly higher than the control groups',it's SC level,the average score of SAS and SDS were significantly lower than the control groups'(all p<0.01,except SDS after intervention of p <0.05),improves a lot.(3)After intervention,the experiment group's ?,? and SMR amplitude and the skin temperature were significantly higher than those before the intervention,it's SC level,the average score of SAS and SDS were significantly lower than those before the intervention(all p<0.01),improves a lot.(4)3 months after intervention,the experiment group's ?,? and SMR amplitude and the skin temperature were significantly higher than the control groups',it's SC level,the average score of SAS and SDS were significantly lower than the control groups'(all p<0.01).The tracing results indicate that the biofeedback therapy has an efficient,stable and persistent healing effect on anxiety and depression.(5)Current research work shows that the effects of the biofeedback therapy can be different among the people.Personalized treatment regimen could be more fits to the drug addicts under compulsory rehabilitation.
