ObjectiveTo observe the effect of functional electrical stimulation(FES)-cycling to the changes of the electromyography signal of lower limbs in patients with early stroke.MethodsTwenty-three stroke patients were randomly divided into two groups.Every patient was given normal rehabilitation therapy. In addition, group A(10 cases)was added with FES-cycling,group B was added nothing. Before and after 1?2?3?4week treatment, all patients were assessed by surface electromyography(sEMG)? Fugl-Meyer scale(FMA)?Modified Barthel Index(MBI)scale.ResultsBefore treatment, there were no significant differences among two groups in the scores of RMS?FMA?MBI(P>0.05).After 1 week, there were no significant differences among two groups in the scores of RMS?FMA?MBI(P>0.05),After 2 week, there was some differences among two groups in the scores of RMS?FMA?MBI(P>0.05).After 3? 4 week treatment, there were significant improvement(P<0.05),and group A had better effect(P<0.05).Conclusion1.FES-cycling could improve the signal of electromyophahy in lower-limbs,in the early stroke patients when they did not appear to the muscle contraction which can be seen, can detect the change of the lower limb muscle electrical signals(RMS);2.FES-cycling can improved lower-limbs muscle function tone, help to improve the low limb motor function.
