Objectives The study aimed to investigate the status of ego-identity of adolescents with depression, and to explore the relationship between ego-identity,psychological capital and parental/peer attachment,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the formulation of effective psychological intervention measures. Methods Using convenience sampling,a total of 160 cases of adolescents with depression were studied in hospital and outpatient clinic in shandong province 3 grade a mental specialist hospital. The patients were investigated by using the general questionnaire, the extend objective measure of ego-identity status-2(EOM-EIS-2),the adolescent psychological capital questionnaire(PCQAS),the parental/peer attachment questionnaire(IPPA).Using SPSS21.0 statistical software for date entry, arrangement and analysis, statistical methods including descriptive statistics analysis, independent samples t-test,ANOVA,correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis.Results1.Basic demographic and clinical data of adolescents with depressionThis study selected 160 adolescents with depression, with an average age of(19.61 ±3.09)years,ranged form 12 to 25 years.Among male and female patients, urban and rural patients, the proportion of one-child and non-only child is the same;the majority of patients aged 19-25 are in late adolescence(54.4%);28(17.5%)have junior high school education and below;93 patients in school(58.1%);100 patients(62.5%)with mild depression.2.The scores of ego-identity status among adolescents with depression and their demographic and clinical data analysisThe scores of ego-identity status among 160 adolescents with depression:identity achievement have 21 people,13.1%,score ranged from 30 to 89 points, average score(56.70±11.95);identity moratorium have 117 people,73.1%,score ranged from 25 to 91 points, the average score(57.88±11.36);identity foreclosure have 5 people,3.1%,score ranged from 17 to 81 points, the average score(46.61±15.08);identity diffusion have 17 people,10.6%,score ranged from 18 to 79 points, and the average score(55.99±11.58).The results of independent sample t-test and ANOVA showed that the scores of ego-identity of adolescents with depression were statistically different(P<0.05)in terms of age, education level, whether they were in school and whether they were living together with their parents(all P<0.05).There was a significant difference in the degree of depression between the identity achievement scores(P<0.01),and there was a significant difference in the degree of depression of identity foreclosure score(P<0.05).3.The correlation between ego-identity,psychological capital and parental/peer attachment among adolescents with depression.Pearson's correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between scores of identity achievement and psychological capital(r=0.162?0.518,all P<0.05);significant positive results were obtained for the scores of identity achievement and parental/peer attachment correlation(r= 0.216?0.374,all P<0.01);there was a significant positive correlation between identity moratorium and the hope dimension of psychological capital(r=0.255,P<0.01),which was significantly negatively correlated with the identity moratorium(r=-0.339,P<0.01).There was a significant positive correlation between mother and peer attachment(r=0.175?0.226,P<0.05).The identity foreclosure was a significant positive correlation with optimism(r=0.226,P<0.01),and was significantly positively correlated with mother attachment(r=0.260,P<0.01);identity diffusion was significantly negatively correlated with hope, optimism, and self-confidence dimensions of psychological capital(r=-0.167?-0.347,allP<0.05);all dimensions of psychological capital were significantly positively correlated with parents/peer attachment dimensions(r= 0.181-0.582,all P<0.05).4.Multiple linear regression analysis of factors affecting ego-identity in adolescents with depressionThe individual dimensions of ego-identity in adolescents with depression were used as dependent variables, and univariate analysis and statistically significant variables were included as independent variables in regression equations, respectively, and multiple linear regression analysis was performed. The results showed that both hope(? =0.285,P=0.003),resilience(?=0.259,P=0.006),father attachment(?=0.177,P=0.024)significantly positively predicted identity achievement;hope(?=0.387,P<0.001)positive predictive identity moratorium, and self-confidence(?=-0.489,P<0.001)negative predictive identity moratorium;optimism(?=0.262,P=0.01),mother attachment(?=0.197,P=0.016)positive predictive identity foreclosure, peer attachment(? =-0.169,P=0.037)negative predictive identity foreclosure;self-confidence(?=-0.302,P<0.001)significant negative predictive identity diffusion.Conclusions1.Most of the adolescents with depression are identity moratorium, followed identity achievement, identity diffusion, and finally identity foreclosure2.The ego-identity of adolescents with depression was significantly correlationed with psychological capital,parental/paternal attachment. The dimensions of ego-identity of adolescents with, depression are predicted by different dimensions of psychological capital and parental/peer attachment.
