| In male dog castration surgery,propofol is often used as an induction or maintenance anesthetic,but the duration of anesthesia is short,and the dose needs to be continuously increased when used alone for anesthesia.Large-dose injections can cause adverse reactions such as respiratory depression.Combined acupuncture and medicine anesthesia can effectively reduce the side effects of anesthetics and is safer.In this study,the best acupoint prescriptions for canine castration surgery were selected through acupoint screening tests,and the experimental dogs were castrated under different anesthesia schemes.Divided into five groups according to different anesthesia methods:group A(simple electro-acupuncture group),group B(propofol 6 mg/kg+maintenance dose 1 mg/kg),group C(electro-acupuncture+propofol 6 mg/kg+maintenance 1 mg/kg),group D(electro-acupuncture+propofol 3 mg/kg+maintenance dose 1 mg),group E(electro-acupuncture+propofol 6 mg/kg+maintenance dose 0.5 mg/kg).In group A,the frequency of electro-acupuncture was 2,the intensity was 1,the disperse-dense wave,the electro-acupuncture was used to induce anesthesia for 20 minutes,and then the electro-acupuncture was continued for 30 minutes;the group B did not need electro-acupuncture to induce anesthesia;the C,D,and E groups were electro-acupuncture induced and the prescription,frequency,intensity,and time of acupuncture points are equivalent to group A.During anesthesia,experimental dogs'respiratory rate,heart rate,pulse,mean arterial pressure,pain threshold,score of biological reflex,analgesic effect score,sedative effect score,muscle relaxation effect score,anesthesia maintenance time of initial and maintenance doses of propofol,the repeat times of the maintenance dose of propofol,preoperative and 30 minutes postoperative biochemical indicators,to explore the anesthesia effect of electro-acupuncture combined with propofol anesthesia in male dog castration surgery and the influence on physiological and biochemical indicators.Results:(1)In the male dog castration acupoint screening test,when the electro-acupuncture anesthesia was prescribed with Baihui-Weigen,the experimental dogs had smaller fluctuations in physiological indicators and better analgesic effects when they were stimulated by simulated pain.(2)In the electro-acupuncture combined with propofol anesthesia test,the C,D,E groups compared with the B group:at 30 min,the heart rate and pulse of group B decreased significantly(P<0.05);at 20 min,25 min,and 30 min,the biological reflex scores of groups C,D,and E decreased significantly(P<0.05),suggesting that various reflex activities weak,better analgesic effect;the maintenance time of anesthesia with the initial dose of 6 mg/kg propofol in group C is prolonged,which is significantly different compared with groups B,D,and E(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the anesthesia maintenance time between the maintenance dose of 1 mg/kg propofol in group B and the maintenance dose of 0.5 mg/kg propofol in group E(P>0.05).(3)The changes in serum biochemical indexes of group A were the smallest before and after anesthesia.The postoperative biochemical indexes of groups B,C,D,and E all increased or decreased to varying degrees.Among them,the postoperative CREA monitoring values of group B were compared with those before operation.The difference was significant(P<0.05).Electro-acupuncture combined with propofol anesthesia reduced the impact of propofol anesthesia or surgery on blood biochemical index CREA.Conclusion:The acupuncture point prescription of Baihui-Weigen is used for electro-acupuncture anesthesia.Electro-acupuncture combined with propofol anesthesia can safely and smoothly perform castration in male dogs,which has a certain protective effect on the physiological function of dogs.The anesthetic effect is better than that of propofol anesthesia alone,and the effect of anesthesia or surgery on blood biochemical index CREA is reduced. |
