The Research On The Development Of Historical Space Of Hohhot

The development of a city is a very rich historical play.Every city has experienced a long or short process from its emergence,rise and development.In this process,there will always be some events that have an impact on urban culture,urban space,urban functions and other aspects.These events are the stories that belong to the city alone,and these stories constitute the history of urban development.As a famous historical and cultural city,Hohhot inevitably encounters the problem of urban homogenization in the process of its modernization development,that is,the lack of urban characteristics and the lack of awareness of urban residents.To solve this problem,first of all,we need to understand the history of urban development,which is carried out in the time dimension,and its development results are reflected by three-dimensional urban space.This is the case in urban historical space.Historical events occur in the time dimension,and historical space is the embodiment of event content.Based on this,this paper studies the development of urban historical space,summarizes its development characteristics and laws,and provides reference for the future urban renewal of Hohhot.This paper takes the urban historical space in the old urban area of Hohhot as the research object,and uses the methods of map superposition and comparative analysis to compare and analyze the historical spatial elements in the old urban area of Hohhot in 1577-1912,1912-1954 and 1954-present periods,respectively,to summarize the distribution characteristics of historical spatial elements in each development period,and then summarize the historical space in each period Structure.Based on this,this paper analyzes the development of urban historical space in the three periods of Hohhot,which is mainly divided into two parts: one is to analyze the superposition of historical space elements in the three periods and summarize the development law;the other is to analyze the development of urban historical space in Hohhot and the overall development of Hohhot from three aspects of development mode,development mechanism and development characteristics according to its development law Correlation between.The results show that the urban historical space in the old urban area has experienced threeperiods of development,and its historical spatial structure has changed from "three groups and two axes" to "five groups and three axes" and then evolved into the present "seven groups and five axes".It has gone through the process from simplicity to complexity,and its development law shows the following three characteristics:(1)sequential development;(2)uneven distribution of urban historical space Balanced development;(3)the content of urban historical space is diversified.And the historical spatial structure of each period is closely related to the development of the whole city of Hohhot in this period.They influence and restrict each other.The research on the development of historical space in the old urban area of Hohhot is first to enrich the theoretical research on urban historical space,and then to understand more clearly the problems faced by the historical space in the current development process from a macro perspective.Combined with its development law and the characteristics of urban development in Hohhot,some preliminary suggestions for urban renewal are put forward.
