Research On Chuan Cheng Street Space Design In Handan:Based On Urban Renewal Planning Of Traditional Historical Street

City is the carrier of the development of human beings,and the cities’ histories can be recorded in some special historic districts. Because of the uniqueness of historic district, it makes historic district taking an important place in the old city renewal. Currently, with the rapid development of the urbanization, historic districts face the challenges of function conversion. However, because of existing circumstances such as limitations of space characters, function arrangement and auxiliary facilities, historic area cannot satisfy the needs of modern citizens. Chuancheng street,which is located in the central area of this city witnesses the changes of city.However, due to some problems, like material aging,functional recession,economic stagnation and cultural losting, the role of this area is not as important in the city as it used to be. Therefore,the physical environment should be upgraded,at the meanwhile,the development of economy should be considered. What is far important is that the traditional culture should be revitalized. As a result, in Chuancheng street renewal project, the strategies should focus on how to keep the original street space structure, space form, scale, texture and the other historical elements, how to meet the modern needs, and how to satisfy the social needs.
