The Study On The Impact Of International Engineering Project Risk Control On Risk Management Performance

With the smooth progress of the national “One Belt,One Road” initiative,a large number of Chinese contractors have gone abroad and chose to undertake international projects overseas.However,due to their weak risk control capabilities,the project could not be successfully completed.To successfully complete the project objectives,appropriate and effective risk control must be implemented.However,in the field of risk management research,there is little research on international project risk control,and there is no scale that can be used to measure risk control.Therefore,the research is urgently needed to develop of risk control scale and study the impact of risk control on risk management performance,and it has important significance in both theory and practice.This thesis first sorts out the relevant literature on the status quo of international engineering risk management,then analyzes the theory of management control and risk management in depth,clarifies the concept of risk control,and establishes three measurement dimensions of risk control,namely activity control,capacity control,and social control.Through the literature review,27 risk control measurement items were extracted to form an initial scale.After that,the initial scale was pre-investigated,and the items were purified.Then the confirmatory factor analysis was carried out,and the reliability and validity of the scale were tested to form a third-order scale with 23 items.In the scale,the activity control dimension includes factor risk monitoring,risk preparation,the capacity control dimension includes factor risk quality development,due diligence,and social control dimension includes factor risk thinking,organizational cohesion.Finally,the structural equation model was established to explore the impact of risk control on risk management performance.The relationship between the three dimensions of risk control and risk management performance is assumed.It is verified that activity control,capacity control and social control all have significant positive influence on risk management performance,and their impact mechanisms are analyzed and explained in detail.Based on the risk control measurement scale developed by the theory of management control and risk management,this paper not only paves the way for risk control related research in the academic field,enriches the research content in the field of risk management,but also provides certain references for risk control of international engineering practitioners,which inspires practitioners to think about the control behaviors adopted in risk management,and improves risk management performance.
