Abstract/Summary:
The Ming and Qing Dynasties is the prosperous period of private garden construction in the south of the Yangtze River.In many literati’s notes,there are descriptions about the landscape,the reasons and thoughts of garden construction,even the rise of private garden construction fashion,luxury decoration and literati’s view of travel.Most of the gardens in the south of the Yangtze River came from the hands of the scholars in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Although there are some modifications in the existing gardens,they can still reflect the thought of building gardens and the pursuit of personality of the scholars in Ming and Qing Dynasties.With Mr.Tong Jun and Mr.Liu Dunzhen as the representatives,the first group of experts who study the ancient architecture of Chinese classical gardens have an important academic value in the detailed and in-depth study and carding of existing gardens.This paper takes the four seasons landscape of Jiangnan garden as the research object,and takes its constituent elements,construction methods and implication ideas as the research content.Based on the field investigation of Jiangnan gardens and the research works of the first batch of ancient construction experts,this paper analyzes the four time characteristics,four time configuration and four time presentation of the overall landscape construction of Jiangnan gardens.And through the interpretation of the notes of Ming and Qing literati,relevant garden notes and garden drawings,this paper discusses the specific way of creating the four seasons landscape of Jiangnan garden,analyzes the living situation of human beings at that time,and the reasons and thoughts of creating the four seasons landscape of Jiangnan garden at the same time,combining with the background of the times and social environment.
