When estimating the working cycle of a daily project,the question of whether the estimated cycle is long or short will be always faced.Meanwhile,how to manage the project schedule reasonably has always been the most important point of academic research.At present,the key chain management theory is relatively mature in project related schedule management.Therefore,this study will use the key chain to optimize the relevant engineering cycle as the research theme,and further study the related application of the key chain in the project progress.This research will be analyzed from six different areas.For the first part,it claims the research background and significance,and then it collects and organizes the related research in the country,and then decided the research method and the main research content.Beside this,the methods and theories related to the research of this paper are investigated,and the existing platforms are used to investigate the relevant literature of domestic and foreign projects,and the past loopholes in project related progress management in the past are summarized.At the same time,the key chains are also summarized.A comparison is also included in the study which contains method and steps in the project schedule management(CCPM).Again,this identifies the key chains in Project A.In the process of managing key chain projects,identifying the key chain of the project is the very first point.Adjusting the contradictions of some resource restriction projects is the main point of identifying the key chain of the project.The key chain in the A project of this article is the use of the rule.It is determined as the heuristic algorithm considered first.Chapter 4 sets the buffer for Project A,explains the shortcomings of some methods in the past,and it establishes the project target system based on the results of the current research,and at the same time,it calculates the project's characteristic factors by using gray evaluation.In chapter 5,the method of establishing a buffer for in-depth explanation,manages the buffers in the A project,clarifies the buffer levels in the A project,and establishes a comprehensive management process and mechanism for the buffers.in the end,it summarizes the whole article and gives expectation to the future.By having the previous investigation and research,this study claims that the progress management of key chain projects can benefit for some disadvantages in some methods to a certain degree;but the application of the key chain is not only lack to the management of the construction period and calculations that related to the management.Its focus is to set a buffer zone which can further strengthen the management of the construction progress of the entire project.Therefore,it can help us to better plan the construction process of the project.It can also helps to us to understand the relationship between the various links in the process and the corresponding processes.This study focuses on the current actual situation of project A.In order to meet the customer's requirements for the progress of the relevant project,a system of multiple evaluation standards that affect the progress of the relevant project is constructed,and this is used as the buffer set in the Project A.By doing this,we can achieved the goal to shorten the work time.
