Mental health is the precondition of promoting the career development and flight safety of airline pilot students,as well as the important guarantee of their healthy and happy life. This study is a sub-project of “Research on the mental health/disease risk management system of airline pilot students based on big data”(Approval No: DFS20170602),this study aim at using the theory of mental health as guidance and fully considering the psychological characteristics of airline pilot students, build the mental health standards and evaluation indexes of airline pilot students, develop a stable and practical mental health scale and construct the scale norms and scoring criteria. On the basis of literature analysis and expert interview, this study firstly give the definition of the mental health of airline pilot students.Secondly, under considering the characteristics of airline pilot students' study, training and life, extract 7 mental health standards for airline pilot students, including good self-cognition and self-improvement ability, healthy emotion, good volitional quality, good adaptability, complete and harmonious personality consistent with the requirements of the flight profession, good flight professional ethics and virtues, high satisfaction with the flight career.Thirdly,on the basis of the existing research and mental health theory, combining with the 7 extracted criteria, this study establish the evaluation index system of mental health of airline pilot students, use Delphi method to select the index, and calculate the weight distribution of the index by G1 method. Then, according to the operational definition and core elements of each index, referring to relevant field scales and expert opinions, compile 15 mental health prediction subscales of senior airline pilot students and 14 mental health prediction subscales of junior airline pilot students, and determine the dimensions of each subscale through factor analysis. The results of internal consistency reliability and retest reliability test of subscales showed that the Cronbacha coefficient of each dimension and the whole subscale is between 0.516 and 0.981,and the retest reliability of each dimension and the total score is between 0.442 and 1.000.The test results of structure validity and calibration validity showed that most dimensions of the subscale are low correlated with each other, most dimensions are high correlated with the total score, and the correlation coefficient of calibration score is between 0.618 and 0.993,met psychometric standards. Finally, establish the mean norm, percentile norm and standard score norm by taking 424 senior and 449 airline pilot students as samples. This study enriches the evaluation methods of the mental health of airline pilot students,a special group of college students. And provides an effective and practical tool for the evaluation of the mental health of airline pilot students, and it is helpful for managing airline pilot students' mental health by using the data.
