Safety is the primary goal and task of the production and operation of railway enterprises,and the safe operation of high-speed railways is particularly important.The strength of the "human-machine-environment" system has an important impact on safety management.All three parties are kept in a safe state to ensure the normal operation of the safety management system.As the direct helm of the high-speed train,the EMU driver’s level of safe operation of the train directly affects the safe operation of the railway system.In order to better reduce the unsafe performance of EMU drivers and reduce the incidence of accidents,it is necessary and urgent to study the mental health of EMU drivers and formulate effective safety management measures.This research focuses on the mental health concept of EMU drivers,and analyzes the current status of EMU drivers’ mental health and extracts its key influencing factors,and proposes corresponding EMU drivers mental health and safety management plan.Through relevant theories and literature reviews,combined with the job and job characteristics of EMU drivers,sort out the concepts and characteristics of mental health and EMU drivers’ mental health,combine interviews,leadership evaluation and other methods to evaluate the mental health of EMU drivers,and analyze the impact on EMU drivers.The main factors and conditions of group drivers’ mental health.According to the analysis results of the SCL-90 scales,the mental health of EMU drivers is lower than the national norm,somatization and obsessive-compulsive symptoms are more serious,and hostility,anxiety,depression,and interpersonal sensitivity also require special attention.Through the analysis of the relationship between the mental health and safety performance of EMU drivers,it is found that the safety relationship performance scores of the investigated EMU drivers are generally higher than the safety task performance score.In terms of safety task performance,the scores of somatization,anxiety,and hostility of EMUs showed a significant negative correlation with safety task performance,and obsessive-compulsive disorder showed a significant positive correlation with safety task performance.In terms of safety relationship performance,the somatization,anxiety,hostility and safety relationship performance of EMU drivers are significantly negatively correlated,and interpersonal sensitivity,other items(sleep and diet)and safety relationship performance are significantly positively correlated.According to the work characteristics of EMU drivers and the main influencing factors of mental health,the safety management recommendations for EMU drivers are put forward from the organizational and individual levels.The organizational level includes formulating relevant rules and regulations to increase the importance of the various railway bureaus on the mental health of EMU drivers;incorporating mental health into the on-the-job management process,improving the mental health service system for EMU drivers;strengthening the mental health training of EMU drivers,and improving EMU drivers’ mental health literacy.Individual-level suggestions,including mastering the methods of psychological adjustment;paying attention to work-family balance;developing good living habits.
