Highways are an essential national infrastructure, which guarantees a stable and rapid development of a nation's economy. In recent years Yemen has gone through repeated outbreaks of war which caused the economic level to be severely damaged.Affected by the war,Yemen's highway construction career is going through stagnation, and part of the highway was badly damaged.Furthermore, due to the immature highway maintenance system in Yemen, the highway pavement maintenance repairs along with the increasing length of highway operation the damage to the pavement is getting more and more serious, resulting in pavement structural integrity.Based on this realistic background, this paper discusses and analyzes the present situation of highway pavement in Yemen, with a view in providing positive contribution and reference to the maintenance and protection of the future highway pavement in Yemen.Firstly, the main diseases of Yemen pavements are analyzed, such as cracks and rutting.Pavement detection and repair(including targets, types, strategies and techniques)are discussed and analyzed.Secondly, using the method of cross section, the ten section of the study found that in Yemen Qattbah-Dhale Road in pavement rutting damage of the road,at the junction of the damage location between road base and Subgrade. Finally, using Micro PAVER software as the foundation, trying to construct a set of suitable conditions and guidelines which may provide some inspiration for Yemen's road and pavement maintenance management system leading to effective development and a milestone to an efficient program that helps maintain the paved roads in the future.
