The support stiffness,temperature conditions and traffic load conditions of the steel deck pavment are severe,steel bridge pavement distress will rapidly expand if not being timely and effective treatmented,the overall performance of pavement will be affected.The study on the pavement of steel bridge at abroad and china are mostly focuses on the new construction pavement materials and pavement technology,the research on maintenance and repair is still in the exploratory stage.At present,the distress repair and maintenance technology of asphalt pavement is applied to the steel deck pavement by many maintenance managements,so it is difficult to provide targeted maintenance to steel bridge pavement.Firstly,this paper investigate and analyze the existing pavement distress,evaluate the maintenance results.Conduct a comprehensive investigation and analysis on steel bridge deck pavement,including the application of SMA,guss asphalt and epoxy asphalt.Then the steel bridge surface pavement injury damage mechanism analyze are investigated.According to the distress situation of steel bridge deck pavement,the pavement mechanical properties and the impact of pavement distress were analyzed.Abaqus finite element software was used to study the mechanism of further damage caused by local damage of steel deck pavement,the relevance between steel bridge deck pavement characteristics and pavement distress is investigated.On the other hand,according to the existing steel bridge deck pavement maintenance materials performance requirements,the steel deck pavement maintenance materials development and evaluation are conducted.The viscosity test,strength test and DSR viscoelasticity test of EP308 cold mix epoxy asphalt were conducted.At the same time,EP308 epoxy asphalt was observed by Body-type microscope and LSCM microcosmic,and its microstructure mechanism were invstigetaed.A series of tests were carried out by Marshall test,rutting test,trabecular bending test and so on to study the high temperature stability,low temperature crack resistance,water stability and anti-fatigue properties of the mixture,compared with KD-BEP epoxy asphalt and ChemCo epoxy asphalt in the same conditions.In the end,according to the basic requirements of the construction of steel deck pavement on-site maintenance,the construction of typical distress maintenance technology are put forward,and the steel bridge pavement distress maintenance materials are evaluated.The survey results show that the main causes of steel bridge deck pavement distress is material performance can not meet the requirements,pavement application conditions are too servere and steel bridge pavement construction quality control is not nsufficient.The mechanical properties of steel deck pavement and research of the distress influence show that pavement defects have a evidently influence on the mechanical properties of pavement,and local pavement distress will speed up the pavement damage in varying degrees.The evaluation results of the steel bridge deck pavement repair materials show that the developed epoxy bitumen EP308 has the characteristics of good performance,low cost and convenient application characteristics,and meets the requirements of rapid construction and fast opening of traffic,is a sulitble steel bridge pavement maintenance materials.
