With the rapid promotion of co-development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, traffic intergration in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region provides key support for it, meanwhile, it also provides new chances and challenges for construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure in Hebei province. As the hub for connecting various regions,traffic pressures for national and provincal road of Hebei province are becoming increasingly heavy, which have caused more and more pavement distresses and have bad effects on service level of asphalt pavement. In order to ensure trunk highway clear in Hebei province, improve efficiency and function of trunk highway service, as well as relieve traffic pressures of Jingjinji Zone, there is great necessary to conduct reasonable maintenance and rehabilitation activities for asphalt pavement to ensure the quality of trunk highway performance.Based on highway technical condition evaluation criteria, considering diseases survey on typical section of asphalt pavement of trunk highway, this paper proposes comprehensive appraisal method of asphalt pavement crack, and evalutes highway performance condition of typical section of asphalt pavement combining distress conditions survey result and pavement performance index, which provides important reference of timing and programing decision making for maintenance and rehabilitation. According to distress characters and severity levels of asphalt pavement of the trunk highways, causes and mechanisms of pavement distress are explored deeply, and pertinence distress treating methods are put forward, so they can lay foudation the for further maintenance. Then,on the base of pavement crack-seal maintenance, this research studies material composition and construction technology of AC-13 rubber asphalt mixture material, determines construction gradation of AC-13 rubber asphalt mixture, raises quality control meassures of rubber asphalt thin overlay technology, and has finished construction of testing section. The results also provide ideas and directions for the development of asphalt pavement maintenance technology of arterial highway in Hebei province.
