As an important part of China's transportation,highway plays an important role in China's transportation industry.However,while the highway provides convenience for people's life and transportation,traffic accidents are also constantly occurring,Which bring huge impact to the operation of the highway and have caused serious loss of life and property.Especially in the cold regions of China at high latitudes,because of the special environmental and geographical conditions in the region,the consequences of traffic accidents are more serious and difficult to deal with.In order to reduce the impact of traffic accidents in the cold region,this paper defines the relevant definitions of cold region.From the aspects of drivers,vehicles,roads and environment,the influencing factors of the accidents are carried out.Based on the detailed analysis,the improved Apriori algorithm is used to analyze the accident characteristics of the highway,and the mechanism of highway accident in cold region is summarized.This paper establishes an accident duration prediction model for highway in cold regions,and uses the improved dual entropy decision tree model to predict the duration of highway accidents.Then it analyzes the space influence of traffic accidents of highways,based on the time and space impact range of traffic accidents,the highway of cold region accidents were graded and the affected areas of highway accidents were divided.For the road where the accident occurred,the effective traffic organization measures are proposed for the protected areas,control areas and buffer zones;The speed limit values of the protected areas under the snow and ice conditions were studied,and this paper gives a value of recommended speed limit for protected areas.From the perspective of road network,the traffic management and control measures of the highway network are studied,and the method of road network traffic information induction is proposed;From the selection of induced nodes,the determination of induced paths,the determination of traffic flow,and the diversion route,the selection criteria are used to elaborate the method of road network traffic induction.The example analysis is carried out by using VISSIM software to verify the effectiveness of the traffic organization method of the highway in cold region.The simulation results show that the traffic organization plays a good role.
