Study On Renovation Design Of Kitchen And Bathroom Space In Sunk-yaodong

In China,a wide variety of natural geography and terroir culture gestate the diversified vernacular dwellings,which constitute the basement of the traditional rural appearance of our country.However,in recent years,the development of economy and the influx of modern civilization have brought about the changes of production methods and life concepts for the vast rural areas of China,which urgently require improvements of the rural settlement environment.Therefore,the modernization of traditional vernacular dwellings is an unstoppable and irreversible trend in China.As the most important and complex living space,kitchen and bathroom space is an important factor affecting the quality of rural residence,a short-term improvement of rural resident environment and the most prominent contradiction between traditional vernacular dwellings and demand of modern rural residence.This study comes from the research project: Integration and Demonstration of the Optimization Technology of the Traditional Rural Dwelling and its Facilities,which belongs to the National Key Technology R&D Program “the Renovation and Demonstration of the Traditional Rural Dwelling Construction Technology”(2015BAL03B03).And taking the sunk-yaodong in Shanzhou District,Sanmenxia,Henan Province as the research object,the study investigates the present situation and the existing transformation of the kitchen and bathroom space in the sunk-yaodong in terms of spatial form,users,usage,energy structure,equipment and facilities,through the research methods of literature research,statistical investigation and resident survey.The study also analyzes and summarizes the needs and problems in the renovation process of kitchen and bathroom in the sunk-yaodong.On this basis,considering the policy,regulations,the local culture and the vital interests of users,and aiming at different use needs,the study puts forward the goal and corresponding strategy of the space transformation of kitchen and bathroom in the sunk-yaodong.Finally,using the method of kitchen and bathroom space designand drawing on the experience of the space reconstruction of the existing residential kitchen in the city,the study attempts to explore the design of kitchen and bathroom space transformation in the sunk-yaodong.The paper hopes to provide a reference for the improvement of kitchen and bathroom space of traditional vernacular dwellings in other rural areas,through the research on the renovation of kitchen and bathroom space in the sunk-yaodong of Shanzhou District,Sanmenxia,Henan Province,in order to adapt to the modernization transformation of rural areas in the new period,and to complete the goal of improving the quality of residence,filling the short board of rural settlement environment and continuing the traditional culture.
