Research On The Export Trade Potential Of China's Equipment Manufacturing Products To Countries Along The Belt And Road

The equipment manufacturing industry is the core of the manufacturing industry,the pillar industry of the national economy,and an important carrier for realizing the manufacturing power strategy proposed by "Made in China 2025".In recent years,China's equipment manufacturing industry has developed rapidly,but the contradiction of "big but not strong" still exists.The "One Belt,One Road" initiative has brought new opportunities for the development of China's equipment manufacturing industry.The "Internet Plus" action has provided new engines to the development of China's equipment manufacturing industry.Therefore,Under the background of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the "Internet Plus" action,it is of great significance to study the export trade potential of China's equipment manufacturing products.Based on combing relevant literature and expounding relevant theories,this paper first analyzes the export trade status of China's equipment manufacturing products to countries along the "Belt and Road" from four aspects:export scale,export structure,export geographic direction and export competitiveness.Secondly,based on the stochastic frontier analysis method,this paper analyzes the trade potential and related factors of China,s export of equipment manufacturing products to countries along the"Belt and Road",and conducts Boston matrix and sub-regional analysis based on the obtained trade potential index.Then the paper introduces the trade inefficiency item into the model and forms a one-step stochastic frontal gravity model to explore the influence of bilateral relations,infrastructure level,customs clearance and economic freedom between the two countries on releasing export trade potential and reducing trade inefficiency.It also focuses on the lagging effect of the degree of informatization development on releasing export trade potential.The results of the study show that:(1)China is an exporter of quantity in the equipment manufacturing industry rather than one of quality,and the distribution and structure of export is not balanced.(2)The gross domestic product,population size,and bilateral distance between China and the trading countries have different impact on the export scale of China's equipment manufacturing products.(3)The export trade of China's equipment manufacturing industry is generally in a state of insufficient trade,trade potential needs to be released and the degree of trade potential release in different regions is different.(4)Measures such as improving political relations between the two countries,upgrading the level of informatization,improving infrastructure,lowering tariffs,improving customs clearance efficiency and increasing economic freedom can effectively release the export trade potential of China's equipment manufacturing products.(5)The impact of the level of informatization development on the release of the export trade potential of China's equipment manufacturing products is not significant in the current period,the lagging one period and the lagging second period,but has a significant promotion effect in the third period.Finally,according to the research conclusions,this paper discusses the countermeasures and suggestions for promoting China's equipment manufacturing products to expand the scale of export trade and release the potential of export trade along the "Belt and Road" countries.
