Since the signing of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership(CPTPP)on December 30,2018,China has repeatedly stated in public that it is "actively considering joining the CPTPP" and has submitted a written letter on the application.Obviously, close economic and trade relations with CPTPP member countries are prompting China to further open up.The three main types of mechanical and electrical products account for the majority of China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products. This paper selects the export trade data of mechanical and electrical products from 2000 to 2021.First,from the perspective of China’s mechanical and electrical products exports to the world,it is carried out from three dimensions: scale analysis, structural analysis and regional analysis. The following results are obtained: my country’s foreign trade of mechanical and electrical products in the world The average export market share is 45.56%;the export market is relatively concentrated.Secondly, focus on the three dimensions of China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products to CPTPP member countries, and draw the following conclusions: the total value of China’s mechanical and electrical products exports to CPTPP member countries has shown a trend of rising fluctuations;office machines and automatic data processing equipment, telecommunications,Recording and playback devices and equipment, electrical machinery, devices and equipment and their electrical parts account for the majority of China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products;Japan,Singapore and Malaysia, the three CPTPP member countries, have been important trading partners for China’s mechanical and electrical product exports for 21 years.Through the processing of panel data by Frontier4.1 software,it can be concluded that from the main model. The total population of the two countries, the same language and Common border has a positive effect, while geographic distance has a negative effect on my country’s mechanical and electrical product exports;from the perspective of the sub-model of overall mechanical and electrical product exports, the signing of free trade agreements, government work efficiency, openness to the outside world. The degree of political stability, the efficiency of government work, the degree of openness to the outside world, the foreign direct investment and the logistics performance index are related to the export trade of China’s electrical machinery, installations and appliances and their electrical parts.Efficiency has a positive promotion effect, while manufacturing tariffs have a negative inhibitory effect on export trade efficiency. The trade efficiency from 2000 to 2021 can be obtained first. From the perspective of average trade efficiency, bilateral mechanical and electrical products have been affected by non-efficiency factors in the past 21 years, and trade resistance has been relatively large, but the overall efficiency has shown a fluctuating upward trend, and the trade potential has broad room for expansion in the future.Secondly, from the perspective of bilateral trade efficiency, this paper studies the 11 member states in turn based on the deviation of the average trade efficiency of each country from the overall average. It can be found that the average trade efficiency of Singapore,Malaysia and Vietnam is higher than the average level.in the forefront. Finally, divide the actual value of trade by the trade efficiency to obtain the trade potential of China’s exports of all mechanical and electrical products to the CPTPP member countries and the export of major mechanical and electrical products, this paper will speed up the negotiation process of free trade agreements with CPTPP member countries, reduce tariffs and eliminate trade barriers;optimize product export structure according to national conditions, and develop differentiated mechanical and electrical products from CPTPP member countries. It provides corresponding policy suggestions in three aspects: assisting the infrastructure construction of neighboring member countries in the trade route, improving the level of interconnection between sea, land, air and network, and improving the transportation network between China and CPTPP member countries. |
