Research On The Potential Of My Country's Export Trade Of Mechanical And Electrical Products To Five Central Asian Countries

China is a big country exporting mechanical and electrical products.Electromechanical products account for an important share of China ’s exports of goods and are key products for increasing exports.However,due to trade protectionism,the return of manufacturing in developed countries,and rising domestic costs in China,China ’s electromechanical products face export pressure and lack the potential to increase exports.Therefore,in order to maintain stable and sustainable development of China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products,it is necessary to actively develop new markets for the export of mechanical and electrical products.Central Asian countries are the core area for the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt",and are also important partners of China’s opening to the west and important member countries of the Shanghai Economic Cooperation Organization.Therefore,it has great potential to become an emerging export market for China’s electromechanical products..Therefore,it is meaningful to expand the export of electromechanical products in the Central Asian market,which will reduce China’s market dependence on traditional developed economies and maintain export stability.This article analyzes China’s export of electromechanical products to Central Asian countries from three perspectives: total scale,market structure,and commodity structure.The trade competitiveness index and trade complementarity index are used to analyze the trade potential of electromechanical products in China and Central Asian countries,which is analyzed from the level of trade relations.Further,a stochastic frontier gravity model was established to measure the specific trade potential value of China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products to Central Asian countries,and to empirically analyze the factors that affect the realization of the export potential of mechanical and electrical products.The results show that: First,China ’s total exports of electromechanical products to Central Asian countries have grown rapidly,but the export market structure and product structure are seriously unbalanced;Second,the trade competitiveness of electromechanical products between China and Central Asian countries is weak and the trade complementarity is strong.Therefore,the trade potential of electromechanical products between China and Central Asian countries is large;Third,the GDP of my country and importing countries are positively promoting the trade potential of my country’s export of mechanical and electrical products,while the domestic population and geographical distance are inversely inhibiting the trade potential of my country’s export of mechanical and electrical products.Fourth,the trade potential value of China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products has large country differences among Central Asian countries.The export potential to Kazakhstan is the largest,and the export potential to Tajikistan is the smallest;Fifth,China’s OFDI to Central Asian countries,the open economic environment and stable political environment of importing countries,advanced railway and communications infrastructure,efficient customs clearance procedures,and the joining of the same economic and trade organization by both parties can effectivelysuppress the inefficiency of export trade And the potential to promote export trade becomes a reality.Based on the above conclusions,this article puts forward the following suggestions on the export of China ’s electromechanical products to Central Asian countries: optimize the export trade structure and export supply capacity of my country’s electromechanical products;accelerate the construction of interregional infrastructure to strengthen interconnection;adjust our investment in Central Asia to Promote exports with the help of investment;develop the Central Asian market in a differentiated way according to the characteristics of each country.
