The Impact Of Trade Facilitation On China’s Agricultural Machinery Exports

With the development of regional trade,traditional trade barriers are weaker.Reducing trade costs by increasing the level of trade facilitation has become a priority for many countries.The "Maritime Silk Road" began in the middle of the Tang Dynasty and developed rapidly in the Song and Yuan dynasties.In the 21 st century,with the deepening of China’s reform and opening and the significant improvement of its manufacturing level,the scale of trade between China and countries along the "Maritime Silk Road" has increased rapidly,and the importance of bilateral trade has continued to increase.The 21 st Century "Maritime Silk Road" has promoted infrastructure connectivity and trade cooperation among countries along the Belt and Road and made great progress in improving trade facilitation and liberalization development process in the belt and Road regions.The improvement of trade facilitation has a positive impact on the trade between China and the countries along the Maritime Silk Road.The trade of agricultural machinery products has always been the focus of the trade cooperation between China and countries along the Maritime Silk Road.This paper takes countries along the "Maritime Silk Road" as the research object to explore the impact of trade facilitation on China’s export trade of agricultural machinery products.Using the export trade data of China’s agricultural machinery products from 2010 to2021,this paper analyzes the current situation of China’s export of agricultural machinery products to countries along the Maritime Silk Road,establishes a trade facilitation evaluation system,and analyzes the level of trade facilitation of countries along the Maritime Silk Road.The stochastic frontier gravity model is constructed to analyze the factors affecting the export trade of China’s agricultural machinery products,and then the impact of trade facilitation on trade efficiency is analyzed,and the trade potential of countries along the "Maritime Silk Road" is calculated.The results show that the level of trade facilitation in countries along the Maritime Silk Road varies significantly,and the overall level is not high.The distance between China and the countries along the Maritime Silk Road,China’s per capita GDP,the per capita GDP of the countries along the Maritime Silk Road,China’s population,and the population of the countries along the Maritime Silk Road have a significant impact on China’s export trade volume of agricultural machinery products;The trade facilitation level of countries along the "Maritime Silk Road" has a significant impact on the export trade efficiency of China’s agricultural machinery products.The trade efficiency of China’s export of agricultural machinery products to countries along the "Maritime Silk Road" is not high,with the highest trade efficiency in Southeast Asia and the highest trade potential in South Asia.According to the analysis results,this paper puts forward some suggestions to speed up the development of agricultural machinery export trade in our country by means of the opportunity of "Maritime Silk Road" cooperation initiative.
