With the adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure and the improvement of people's living standard,China's civil aviation industry has maintained a rapid development— air traffic and the number of routes have increased year by year.However,safety accidents and incidents in aviation industry have occurred in recent years,the rapid development of civil aviation industry has brought new challenges to safety management.Airport safety management is an important part of aviation safety,especially staff in flight area including field service,aircraft maintenance,runway lighting maintenance,vehicle drivers and others are directly related to safety of aircrafts,their safety behavior is of great significance for airport safety operation and safety performance reflects their safe working.The lessons learned from the accident tell us that it is necessary to monitor and manage the psychology and behavior of employees in the flight area.On the other hand,due to low implementation cost and far-reaching influence,workplace incivility attracted more and more attention.Even though workplace incivility is not very obvious,existing research has proved that it will do physical and psychological harm to individuals,which will impact work behavior.In addition,as a positive state,work engagement also has an impact on individual performance.The object of this research is staff in airport flight area,relationship between workplace incivility,work engagement and safety performance was discussed,and a theoretical model was constructed.Data was collected through questionnaires,SPSS22.0 software was used to verify the hypotheses proposed in this study.Following conclusions are drawn.First of all,workplace incivility has a significant negative impact on the safety performance of staff in the airport flight area.Isolate dimension and groundless talk dimension have a significant negative impact on safety contextual performance,privacy invasion and isolate dimensions have a significant negative impact on safety task performance.Secondly,work engagement has a significant positive impact on the safety performance.The dimensions of vigor and dedication have a significant positive impact on safety contextual performance,and the dimensions of vigor and absorption have a significant impact on safety task performance.Thirdly,work engagement plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between workplace incivility and safety performance.Lastly,vigor has completed mediation effect between privacy invasion and safety task performance.The innovation point of this thesis is that a theoretical model of workplace incivility,work engagement and safety performance was constructed,enriching relevant research results of workplace incivility in Chinese context and in airport management.In addition,this thesis puts forward some suggestions to reduce workplace incivility from the perspective of individuals and organization,which is helpful to airport management.
