Longfu Temple and the palace are located outside the south boundary of the East Qing Mausoleum,on the belly of the MangNiu mountain.The palace is separated fromthe temple by a Ravine.The imperial roads connected this two parts together,throughwhich can enter the East Qing Mausoleum via XiFengKou and the West Entrance Gate.Longfu Temple and the palace are the final resident of Ancestor Worship Exhibition,they undertake many ritual functions of the country such as exhibitions,the activity ofworshipping,and temporary ceremonies.It is an important part of the Qing dynastyMausoleum system.The temple was formerly known as the Long Fu Yard.It was built in the TangDynasty and was later repaired in the Liao Jin and Ming period.In the 9th year of theQing Emperor Qianlong,Emperor Qianlong worshipped Xiao Mausoleum and built a palace near the temple.In the 12 th year of the Qing Emperor Qianlong,the Longfu Temple and the palace as the final resident of the Liling Dadian were extensively expanded to form Longfu Temple three parts and palace three parts.In the forty-nine years of Qing Emperor Qianlong,Longfu Temple was converted from a Mahayana Buddhist temple to a Tibetan Buddhist temple,becoming one of the three largest Buddhist temples in the Mausoleum.It played the political role of Huairou Frontier and Mongolian in Mongolia.In Tongzhi and Guangxu Dynasty,the west part of LongfuTemple Palace has been changed twice to Temporary Ancestral Hall to settle the emperor.
