In recent years,China has paid more and more attention to the protection of the old city.The protection and renewal of historical and cultural blocks have the guidance of legal standards,and can be carried out steadily.However,for the urban development as a whole,the non protected blocks,which also have important historical and cultural values,are lack of similar policy guidance documents,lack of protection awareness and inadequate protection measures.As a result,the preservation of these blocks is not optimistic.The traditional commercial blocks are different from residential areas,which have unique spatial texture and historical culture,no matter in economy,culture or history Historical level is of great significance,and the exploration of its transformation and renewal plays an important role in the "stock" development of the whole city.Longfu temple area is a traditional commercial district in the old city of Beijing with strong residents’ feelings.It used to be one of the largest temple fairs in Beijing.It is close to many historical and cultural blocks.Its geographical location and historical status are very important and of typical significance.This study starts with the concept of non Protected Traditional Commercial District,familiarizes with the supporting basis of current relevant policy documents,combs the development process of commercial district at home and abroad,and carries out macro control on the current development situation of non protected commercial district from a wide perspective.Secondly,through the analysis of relevant cases,learning from experience and summarizing strategies,it explores the transformation strategies with universality,Then it reviews the historical evolution of Longfu temple area,evaluates the renewal process,investigates the current situation of Longfu temple area in detail,summarizes the problems faced by the area,and finally tries to put forward suggestions on the positioning,objectives,principles and Strategies of the reconstruction and renewal of the area.Through the exploration of the transformation and renewal of the typical non protected traditional commercial district longfu temple area,we can find the balance between traditional preservation and innovative development,hoping to see the big from the small,and play a certain reference role for the protection and renewal of other traditional commercial districts.
