Research On Experience Design Of Composite Physical Bookstore Based On Scenario Construction

Rubinstein once said:To evaluate a city,check how many bookstores it has.Bookstores have always been a symbol of urban culture.But by the end of the 20th century,with the booming of online bookstores and e-reading,the management of physical bookstores was in jeopardy.The ensuing experience economy gradually shifts the consumption attraction from functional product type to service experience type.In order to meet people’s emotional needs,the role and content of bookstores in society are constantly updated and reorganized.Today’s bookstores no longer use book sales as their sole function.It combines multiple cultural forms to create a multi-functional cultural experience space.This is a new opportunity which the experience economy bring to the bookstores,and it is also the result of the increasingly emotional need of social development.This paper aims to explore how situational construction as a design method can be applied to the design of consumer experience of a composite physical bookstore.The research will start from the theoretical and practical aspects,combined with the theoretical point of the situation,the design method,etc.,to explore the the design of complex physical bookstore experience that can truly meet the needs of current consumers.This paper firstly analyzes the relevant theories of situation and experience,and then defines and clarifies the research objects.It is concluded that the composite physical bookstore is more in line with the development of society than the single physical bookstore.Complying with the elements of complex physical bookstores,from the perspective of "human-material-environment",a complex physical bookstore consumer experience context model is established,which is collected,integrated and constructed according to the elements,providing a new idea for the design of composite physical bookstore consumer experience.In the end,this paper takes the Hangzhou composite solid bookstore and several experience design as the practical object to empirically summarize the previous theoretical research results and put forward feasible suggestions.It provides designers with a practical guiding method of experience design,and also provides a valuable strategy for the physical bookstore to get out of the predicament.
