With the rapid development of the society,the number of students dining in China’s primary school increasing,and the proportion of students attending school meals has continued to rise.At present,the primary school canteen has been transformed from the selective construction project of campus construction to the construction of campus construction,and the construction scale is increasing.On the basis of the psychological,physiological and behavioral mode of elementary school student ’ s characteristics,the primary school canteen is different from other kinds of canteens in the way of feeding,dining mode,function composition and space arrangement,etc.However,there is a lack of norms,standards and information about the construction of the primary school canteen,and most of them have been established for a long time,as the change of feeding way,eating patterns,there is a gap between the construction of the building space and the actual demand.In addition,based on the need of basic education development needs and social development in our country,the elementary school trend from simple catering to set catering,communication,entertainment,teaching in a body’s comprehensive construction development.How to construct the canteen building space to meet the current situation and the need for future development has become an important problem to be solved in the construction of primary school campus.Through a large number of literatures and case studies,this paper summarizes the characteristics of primary school canteen service object,dining mode and operation mode.This paper analyzes the differences with other types of canteens,such as the college canteen.This paper described the function composition and related characteristics of the four areas in the dining area,kitchen area,auxiliary area and public area of primary school canteen.And selected 14 primary schools in jiangning district,nanjing,as the main research examples,summarizes the elementary school canteen between architectural space present situation and the actual use contradictions and problems,and analyzed the primary dining room construction and the present situation.The author thinks that,the form and organization of elementary school canteen building space should not only meet the basic requirements of food processing,the teachers and students repast,must also consider: adding education functionality to its space usage,as a catalyst to promote the development of the new education pattern;Space intensification design,compound utilization,ease the tension of campus land and the unitization of campus space;meeting the physical and psychological space needs of primary school students and teachers;and sustainable development.Based on canteen building requirements and the need of social development,this article from five aspects in the functional composition and layout,streamline organization and arrangement,the area of the matching calculation,construction key points,composite space to resolve the problem of how to design,and provided the method and theory for the construction of the present elementary school canteen.
