Project schedule management,as one of the three cores of the project management system,is an important indicator to measure the level of project management.However,in real life,project duration often occurs.Therefore,how to effectively control and manage project schedule has become the focus of project management.The critical chain management technology compensates for the defects of the traditional schedule management method to a certain extent.Applying it to the project schedule management will effectively solve this problem.Therefore,the research on the critical chain technology will have important practical significance.Firstly,the paper briefly introduces the traditional schedule management method,points out the influencing factors and existing problems of traditional management methods,and then introduces the theory of critical chain management methods.Then,the theoretical basis of the key chain was introduced,including the basic concepts,basic assumptions and application procedures,etc.The advantages of critical chain management were summarized through comparison with traditional schedule management methods.Second,the article analyzes the construction of a project schedule management model based on critical chain technology,including the reduction of safety time,the identification of critical chains,and the location and calculation process of buffers.In the process of setting the import buffer,this model proposes the use of principal component analysis method to allocate the buffer volume,so that the import buffer setting is more scientific and reasonable.Finally,through actual engineering cases,the project schedule management plan was formulated using the traditional schedule management method and the critical chain management model.Based on this,a simulation model of PERT/CPM and critical chain project planning was established.Then Monte Carlo simulation was performed using simulation software Crystal Ball,and then compared with the traditional progress method.The paper proves that the critical chain management method can effectively shorten the project duration through an example analysis,and is more conducive to the project's schedule control and the balanced use of resources.The research results of the dissertation not only improve the project management system,but also improve the project management level.It has certain practical significance.
