Study On Influencing Factors Of Street Vitality Based On Multivariate Data

With the rapid development of modern cities,the planning and design of urban streets based on "vehicle standard" is becoming more and more serious.The original values and humanistic care of urban streets have been gradually missing and the traditional living street function has gradually degraded.Vitality of the urban street is slowly losing.As an important part of the city,street has a profound influence on the development of urban economy,the improvement of people's quality of life and the improvement of living environment.Although the relevant experts and scholars at home and abroad have generally recognized the seriousness of this problem,but the current domestic and foreign research on street vitality construction strategy is limited to transform research of the traffic engineering measures.The street is only regarded as the traffic way of the urban people not treated as the important public space carrying people's daily life.On the other hand,although many scholars can study streets as urban public space,most of them are based on qualitative description,lack of systematic quantitative research on street vitality.Therefore,the systematic quantitative study on the vitality of urban streets has important practical significance for the shaping of the vitality of the streets.This article will take this as the starting point to carry on the research.This article altogether divides into six chapters:Chapter 1.Introduction.This paper mainly introduces the background significance,content method,scope and framework of the research,focusing on the domestic and foreign related research summarized to provide theoretical support for the later research.Chapter 2.Conceptual analysis.The concepts of street,social street and street vigor are analyzed.At the same time,two aspects of the concept connotation of street vitality are given,that is,the external representation of street vitality and the physical environment composition of street vitality.This chapter studies on the use of social activities on the streets to represent the street vitality of the external characteristics,with the number of social activities to indicate the strength of the vitality of the street.Chapter 3.Evaluation methods.On the basis of the above,this chapter starting from the physical environmental elements of the social activities that take place on the street and supporting the street vitality of the series of social activities on the street to screen the relevant evaluation indexes of these two dimensions respectively.Finally,a complete framework of quantitative evaluation system of street vitality is constructed.The evaluation index of street vitality is composed of three types of social activities: leisure,business activities and recreational activities.Based on the accessibility,space,interface,facilities,greening and function of the six aspects of the 18 classification indicators to constitute an evaluation index of street vitality.Chapter 4 is evaluation analysis.Based on quantitative evaluation framework proposed in Chapter 3 of this paper,the specific research contents and methods are worked out and the representative workers' new village(Anshan Xincun)in Shanghai is selected as the research object.Through the investigation,quantification and collation of the activity of pedestrian on the street and the physical environment characteristic of the street,the method of inductive deduction and SPSS stepwise regression analysis is adopted.Finally,it determines the street environment characteristic factor which has the significant influence to the street vitality.Chapter 5.Shape the strategy.Based on the research conclusions of Chapter 4 and combined with related studies,this paper gives the vitality shaping strategies based on living streets from four aspects: commercial space design,walking space design,green space design and street corner space design.Chapter 6.Summary.The main conclusions of the paper are summarize..And the shortcomings of the paper and the outlook for the later period are overviewed.
